Prepare to Survive Total Economic Collapse
Gerald Celente Blogspot ^ | 5/14/12

Posted on 05/14/2012 7:11:25 PM PDT by Kartographer

The collapse will be a cycle. Its wise to be prepared for all the angles of possibilities .It will be survival of the fittest and most aware. That's exactly what's happening. Either be aware, prepare, survive, and thrive.. or stay in denial and eventually die on your knees. People have a choice. Most choose to stick their heads in the sand while keeping their lazy fat asses in the air. Most of em enjoy the raping.Avoid big cities and crowded places ,Buy food, water, a water purifier, guns and ammo. You will need medical supplies, vitamins and ibuprofen. Power will be an issue. No power? No toilet. You need power for water in the city and if you have a well. When the food and water has run out in the houses and the stores are closed and empty, the people will be in the streets. You DO NOT want to be one of them.

No one is giving a date.
We’re saying that the numbers show that it’s inevitable,
and to not make some sort of contingency preparations is foolish.

Can you tell us a bit more about what validates the book?

The sample chapter from the Kindle store sounds pretty hokey.

Do you guys not read your own stuff?

"Either be aware, prepare, survive, and thrive.. or stay in denial and eventually die on your knees. People have a choice. Most choose to stick their heads in the sand while keeping their lazy fat asses in the air. Most of em enjoy the raping."

I mean come on.

When I heard the commercial for it, that it would explain what was happening to us and why and what is coming, for some reason I was intrigued enough to buy it.

When started reading, I thought the initial dialog was pretty bad and was tempted to put it down, but stayed with it.

After that, not only did it get better, I couldn't put it down. Lots of interesting American and Biblical history, but way more than that.

For me, the book lived up to the commercial. Spooky, scarey, amazing.

I definitely see things differently now. I knew we are close to the edge, but I had no idea exactly what that meant. Now I do!

In a way, it's the confirmation I was looking for.

Do you guys not read your own stuff? ... I mean come on.

Mindlessly repeating your own incredulity, as if it does anything to make your assertion seem self-evident, when it manifestly is not, is nothing but a conceit on your part.

I understand the practice is common enough. Like some nutty Protestant trying to convince a Catholic he's really worshiping Mary (as if insisting to someone their REAL favorite color is something other than what they'll tell you when asked), but that doesn't make it any less absurd.

That the writer expresses a certain level of contempt for those he believes are being willfully obtuse about a coming calamity, is entirely separate from the idea that the writer WANTS the obtuse to suffer.

Try as you might, the two are entirely different propositions, and no amount of hystrionics on your part is going to conflate the two.

In closing, I felt compelled to tell you to "give it a rest" because it's just plain distasteful to watch someone continually trying to embarrass others over something they know they have nothing to be embarrassed about....

Like read it and you tell me. :) Here's a few:

I didn't know most of what he wrote about our Founding Fathers and how the country was founded.

Isaiah 9:10 has an entirely different meaning to me now and is connected to US in ways I never would have imagined.

We are thoroughly screwed and our proposed political/economic solutions won't change a thing about what we Americans have set in motion for ourselves, but it's not too late.

If nothing else, pray that Romney is a righteous man and follows a righteous, inspired path as President should he win.

It's a fun read...I highly recommend it.

Sorry. Based on the cheesy sample, and you offering nothing but opinion (which at this point is of unknown value), I’ll pass.

I’ve been reading the Bible for over thirty years, and if there’s something about 9/11 in it someone’s going to have to show it to me, or as far as I’m concerned...it’s nothing but Art Bell material.

You will need medical supplies, vitamins and ibuprofen.

Some people have reactions to ibuprofen so know before you administer it and stock an alternative.

Only my wife knows what I have prepped for. The kids are just myna birds, they will brag and blow things out of proportion.

It's not just the younger kids but grown kids and other adults in your immediate family who will rat you out whether meaning to or not. Far too many today are too trusting which is why our government is in such a sad shape. Sometimes it's better to prep and not talk about it with anyone and blow it off as mundane and the norm.

Sure it’s possible to misread somebody, and maybe that’s what I’ve done, but I don’t think so. There’s something about preppers that reminds me of the Rapture crowd. They’ll deny that they want to see the world plunged into calamity, but their body language gives them away. It’s clear that on some level they want it. Or like media bias. Liberals will deny it all day long but you know it when you see it, even when it’s not quite self evident. I think a reasonable person would agree that the article blam posted the other day crosses some kind of line into unhealthy preoccupation with the presumed horrors that are in store for non-preppers. And I think you underestimate how difficult it is for people to keep the two propositions that you mention separated. When they intermingle, you get something like blam’s article.

Color me skeptical because guys like Celente have been pushing this stuff since 2006 and 2007 and nothing has happened. As far as am I concerned, you guys need to put up or shut up. GIVE US A DATE and quit scaring everyone. At least I can do that.

No need to carry around that extra weight in the back of your vehicle so toss the spare tire but remember to put it back in on Thursday, July 26, 2012 because at 2:53 you're going to have a flat. Same with your health insurance. No need to pay expensive premiums because you won't be needing it until July 26 when you foolishly cut your hand when changing that tire and need stitches. FYI, your house is safe from any disaster until the second Monday in March 2019 when it burns to the ground from a lightening strike so might as well cancel the homeowners insurance until then. Oh, almost forgot, your son won't be needing that college fund you've scrimped and sacrificed for so you might as well party it up now.

I think that's what the author had in mind. If you mean what you say, read if for yourself.

What I will do for you, if you like, I'll give you a copy. Kindle, book, whichever you like.

Now, I've offered you more than opinion.

I think a reasonable person would agree that the article blam posted the other day crosses some kind of line into unhealthy preoccupation with the presumed horrors that are in store for non-preppers.

But how many reasonable people DISagreed with your ill-defined "line" on the very thread you refer to?

The historical fact, and modern possibility, of racism does not excuse the existence of an Al Sharpton.

THIS reasonable person sees more contrived defense of your own belligerence, than any quantifiable desire on the part of those you malign.

And I think you underestimate how difficult it is for people to keep the two propositions that you mention separated. When they intermingle, you get something like blam’s article.

Actually, your reaction to the article would seem the more appropriate example of that particular error.

That is more than gracious of you.

I will FReepmail my kindle info to you so you can initiate the book loan (I assume you don't mind losing use of the book for two weeks). In return, I will offer to loan you one of my titles, and promise to purchase The Harbinger if it is as worthwhile as you think.

Is that agreeable?

Well yeah, lots of people disagreed, but how do you know they were reasonable? If you waded into a rapture thread and accused them of secretly hoping for the apocalypse, I’m sure you’d have a whole bunch of “reasonable” people riled up at you. You’d be right and they’d be wrong, but they’d be indignant nevertheless.

It is.

Please know that I meant my offer as a gift, which of course, by definition requires no reciprocity, as that would make it a burden or an obligation.

If The Harbinger is something of value, then my preference is only that you pass it on, as I am.

Whatever you decide is absolutely acceptable; the choice is entirely yours. I am honored that you would accept and would be grateful for your recommendations.

I am still on the seeker's path and my mission here is still not clear to me.

The authorities will have their hands full and they won’t have the man power to do a massive house to house search and even if they did it would be in all likelihood fruitless as only 98 houses out of 100 would be likely to have any real food storage.

Kartographer, I beg to differ. We only need to look back as far as Hurricaine Katrina and the house-to-house searches that were done. The "authorities" conducted those searches looking for bodies/people in need/guns, but it could easily have been for supplies also.

We mustn't become fixated on a nationwide catastrophe. It will most likely be a regional one where National Guard or other assets can be mobilized in a few days time. Nelson- You might also want to prep for the eventuality you mentioned. You don't necessarily need a car to bug-out. Think bicycle, or backpack. ;)
