Come to think of it, no we haven’t. As a matter of fact, I don’t recall seeing a bank for sale in a store in a long time.
I suppose they don’t want kids to enter a culture of ‘saving’. That would bring about harm to the Wall St types who depend on folks to throw their money into the Ponzi, because the banks yield next to no return.
The masters of our new(failed) “service economy” probably hate the idea of people saving money too. People not dumping most all of their disposable income into their stores where they sell worthless crap obviously runs contrary to their business plan.....
I never had a piggy bank but I had a bank account when I was 8 but that was 67 years ago.
Before that i had a lock box since i was 5 to save my earnings.
With inflation a piggy bank is useless, try a safe!
Some organization called “Feed the Pig” has been buying ad space at bus shelters in my general neighborhood.
Piggy banks would offend moslems. Therefore I bet Obama quietly told the banks, “No more piggy banks”, and since he owns the banks, they listened.
This has been happening in England to an unbelievable degree. No more “3 Little Pigs” stories in kindergarten classes. No piggy banks. No pictures of pigs in certain places.
We are on our way to hell, folks. Grab the best seats and a snack (BLT sounds good), and enjoy the ride to America’s “Final Destination”. (The movie, Part 4).
My Piggy bank is a gun safe !
Yours to?
I don’t keep your run of the mill piggy bank coins in mine though.
When the fiat currency falls flat on it’s face I want coins worth something.
Of course it’s full of cheaper metal in small amounts with powerful explosives packed behind them as well.
As to the actual piggy bank. I recently picked up one for each kid at Target.
Oddly, they where on clearance.
kiddo’s filled the last 2 I bought um.
There was an entire shelf of piggy banks at the dollar store just before Easter.
Target sells ‘em, with the current holiday themes. I think they’re around $10. I’ve seen them on the end caps.
Apparently Harley Davidson hasn’t gotten the word. In addition to other “HOG” merchandise, they have piggie banks as well. I suppose you have to do something, cause HD stuff ain’t cheap.
Odd that this topic would come up.
My wife and I have been looking for several weeks for one to give our grandson.
It’s like they all disappeared.
I don’t know if it’s due to Obama and the culture of spending or it’s due to Sharia and the culture of pig fear.
Yup. Best time to buy.. after the holiday they where intended for.
I think I’ve snagged them under a buck before. I got the last ones for 2 bucks each.
