Storms are interesting. There is a long term downward trend in strong tornadoes (2011 season notwithstanding). There is a cyclical trend in Atlantic hurricanes independent of any sea surface warming (which is real). There is a worldwide decline in total hurricane strength (some stronger storms but fewer overall). There is the simplest model that says as the Arctic warms, there will be less stormy weather.

On the other side of the coin is the Federal insurance programs and Federal disaster relief which is getting more and more ridiculous every year. There is the Army Corps spending billions on flood control which often "saves" a couple of farms (which would be better off flooded and renewed) at the expense of higher water downstream. There are people's greed and stupidity that lets them rationalize that it is not their fault for building on a floodplain, but someone else's.

It is certainly possible that one offshoot of global warming may be higher rainfall totals. If true, it is a negative feedback (u.e. the water cycle increase causes net cooling). I don't think it is profitable to argue against the need for well engineered flood control whether floods are frequent or infrequent because floods will happen regardless of climate. But we are talking about a relatively small land area at risk. But there is absolutely no reason to jump from that need to a requirement for carbon control. That is simply ludicrous, insane, stupid and probably done with malicious intents.

Throw Rove in the pot, too.

During the defense closing arguments Rezko’s lawyer, Joe Duffy, just told the jury: “The evidence shows Rezko spent more time in 2003-2004 fundraising for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, then he did for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.”
Duffy said Rezko held a few fundraisers for Obama while he was running for U.S. Senate.

Duffy also challenged Ata’s testimony regarding what Rezko told him about Karl Rove and an Illinois GOP operative, Robert Kjellander, plotting to replace Chicago U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. Duffy asked Ata, “you believe Tony Rezko could actually influence President Bush?” Ata, replied, “No.” Duffy followed by saying, “Well, the president chooses the U.S. attorney, right?” Ata replied, “Yes.”
“So you’re suggesting that Mr. Rezko had the influence and power to influence the president?” Ata replied, “Tony Rezko informed me that Bob Kjellander was working with Karl Rove to change the U.S. attorney in Chicago.” Karl Rove’s attorney denies this claim.

For the first time in the trial, jurors on Friday heard the voice of defendant Tony Rezko during a tape-recorded phone call played in court.
The phone call was between Rezko and Illinois Hospital Facilities Planning board member Stuart Levine in May 2004. Levine, who entered into a plea agreement, has turned as a key witness for the federal government.
The two were discussing how they planned to control votes on the state board. Then Rezko tells Levine what to do in order to cover their tracks. He discusses an unnamed female board member.

I’ve not seen some of the pictures before. It really makes me feel like we’re being duped.

Thanks for posting them.

There should have been a alert, especially this early in the morning.

Did you notice blago in da pew with obama and clinton? There are a lot of pictures with the worst of the worst all together in one place or another.

Immediately to the left of clinton on the 'New Economy' image was none other than nancy pelosi. This is the entirety of the original clinton agenda we are SEEING in front of our faces. From the housing meltdown to the financial meltdown and the absolute looting of the WORLD's treasury and GWB was smack in the middle of it. In fact, he, along with bernanake and paulson, pulled the triggeron it just days before GWB left office. This has been in progress since the inept carter, but Reagan slowed it to a crawl. Then along came bush daddy and it started for real and never quit.

It's easy to blame soros but anyone who thinks it begins or ends there is naive to the core.

I even have old images of clinton with theresa heinz before John Heinz conveniently 'died' in a small plane crash.

For thirty years the world has collectively worked toward rendering American Citizens subjects. Reagan and Gingrich are the only leaders that effectively impeded the process.

The remainder of the American Leadership have all been compromised.

Here’s a question for ya...I have hunted and hunted and now I am wondering if I dreamed it up. Was there a picture of Obama and Blago at a baseball game together? I have been looking for that for ages and have given it up to my imagination.

I’ve never been a Bush fan and my mother and I went ‘round and ‘round about that. She thinks Bush is the best. I think he’s a nice guy and he doesn’t hate this country like Obama but I don’t have much more than that.

And I really don’t care for papa Bush’s 1000 points of light.

I am still hunting an article that i read once and I am certain I didn’t imagine THAT. Anyhow, it was an interview of a black guy who called himself a “green entrepreneur” —it was right before or right after Obama was elected and he was connected to algae. I want his name, I can’t remember this guys name...I have searched for that one for a while and cannot find the durn thing. urgh!

Humph, I am skeptical that Obama wasn’t a part of what Blago now sits in prison for. Obama acted as if they never met...

The environmental justice movement was started by individuals, primarily people of color

Who apparently have a lot of expendable income to buy $4 a gallon gas.

.....and I’m back. Life is good when you can say “Dad, I’m not coming in today.”

j/k, j/k.....

But I did burn my last sick day until November. This is too important.

Guess what ? I have more.

From the Department of No Education:

***********************************

“The Department of Education today announced the release of its draft Environmental Justice (EJ) strategy. The Department’s draft EJ strategy focuses on healthy learning environments for students, energy-efficient school facilities, sustainability education and environmental literacy, and energy efficiency in the Department’s facilities. This draft EJ strategy is the Department’s plan to address environmental justice concerns and increase access to environmental benefits through the Department’s policies, programs, and activities.

The Department is committed to meeting the goals of Executive Order 12898, ‘Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and Low-Income Populations,’ which states that each participating federal agency should make environmental justice part of its mission. Specifically, this release is the latest step in a larger Administration-wide effort to ensure strong protection from environmental and health hazards for all Americans. In August, federal agencies signed the ‘Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Justice and Executive Order 12898’(EJ MOU), which committed each agency to, among other things, finalizing an EJ strategy and releasing annual implementation reports. Links to the other federal EJ Strategies can be found on the Environmental Justice Interagency Workgroup webpage at http://www.epa.gov/environmentaljustice/interagency/iwg-compendium.html.

The draft strategy will be open for public comment for 45 days, or until March 26, 2012. Comments can be submitted by emailing EDEnvironmentalJustice@ed.gov. The Department will then review those comments and finalize the strategy. After the strategy is final, the Department and its federal partners will continue to engage stakeholders through outreach and events and will respond to public comments through annual implementation reports.”

If you have a kid in a government-run school (h/t John Stossel), it means they’re being brain-washed.

If you’ll note, the word “CONgress” is not found in the above statement from the DoE.

I don’t mean that in an arrogant way, but I can’t recall ever hearing this or seeing this anywhere else.

Let’s not forget John Podesta, the head of the Center for American Progress (a $oros front group), who headed up Chairman Obama’s transition team, who was a Chief of Staff under Bill Caligula.
