Wow, discussion on this topic has really degenerated from intelligent debate when it first appeared on FR to this crap.

“A bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe”” means he’s a drug dealer now?

The article seriously asks “so just what was his punk-ass doing in that neighborhood that night at that hour?” Well, apparently he was returning from the convenience store to his father’s house with Skittles at 7PM. What exactly is so suspicious about that?

And “punk-ass”? Really? Come on, this is a 17 year old kid with no history of violence who was likely shot because of a tragic misunderstanding.

None of this means that Zimmerman is guilty. It’s quite possible that he’s telling the truth and he really thought his life is in danger, just as Martin must have thought his life was in danger because he was being followed by a stranger first by car and then on foot.

Also, at least one of the photos posted in this thread has been debunked as being fake. Come on people, whatever your thoughts on whether Zimmerman is guilty or not we’re supposed to be better than this.

Drug dealing because his Facebook had posts about him hooking up a friend with da “plant.”

Guessing he wasn’t selling ferns.

The photo I was referring to in my previous comment appears to have been removed. Unless I imagined it, which is possible considering I have tomorrow off and I’m already a few beers deep.

There’s a Facebook post where a friend tells him to answer his phone in reference to some “business.”. When Trayvon responds he doesn’t have his phone, the friend says, “I need a plant.” A couple posts in his twitter feed sound similar. Another post on his Twitter feed indicates he “took a swing” at a bus driver. Another poster, delivering his message posthumously, says he knows Trayvon beat his assailant’s a**.

So there’s probably a little more there than just an empty baggie.

That is not exactly how Zimmerman describe his behavior on his call to the police.

Well, now it certainly does seem he had previously used his free time to buy dope and acquire jewelry at free or reduced prices.

The Skittles story is looking more and more like a ridiculous cover story. Such as being suspended for 10 days for being "tardy". I'd like to see the text record from his phone.

You need to keep up with the latest info...

Well, apparently he was returning from the convenience store to his father’s house with Skittles at 7PM. What exactly is so suspicious about that?

Well, this was a gated community that had been the subject of numerous burglaries, and the suspected perps were "young black males". It was after dark, and he was not a resident of the community (nor was his father - it was the father's girlfriend who lives there). So Zimmerman, who apparently knows the area and the residents well, sees a young black male who does not live in the neighborhood walking through the neighborhood and seeming to case the houses. That looks pretty suspicious to me...

Come on, this is a 17 year old kid with no history of violence who was likely shot because of a tragic misunderstanding.

Well, there is at least one report of this kid with "no history of violence" beating down a bus driver. And now there are eyewitness account of this "kid" being on top of Zimmerman, banging his head against the concrete.

It’s quite possible that he’s telling the truth and he really thought his life is in danger, just as Martin must have thought his life was in danger because he was being followed by a stranger first by car and then on foot.

Well, if Martin though his life was in danger, he made a bad decision to attack Zimmerman and try to do a beat down...

This was a 17-year-old kid who got shot because he was beating the hell out of a neighborhood watch captain who had merely asked what he was doing.

He may or may not have had a prior history of such violence, but there can be little doubt he was a wannabe! E.g., have a look at his Twitter account. Here is the inspiring background picture he chose to set the tone for visitors to his Twitter page:

That's the mug shot of rapper Corey Miller, aka C-Murder, who is doing life without parole for beating up and shooting to death 16-year-old Steve Thomas in 2002 at a night club in Harvey, Louisiana. Quite the hero for Trayvon to worship!

We should all thank George Zimmerman for taking out the garbage!
