Bad Newt: Cut Megan Kelly’s On-air Time To Discuss his GA win and the GOP Presidential Primary
March 7, 2012 | vanity

Bad Newt - Used 30 Minutes of Megan Kelly’s On-air Time To Discuss his GA win and the GOP Primary.

Consensus of the Fox panel: “Good grief!! Newt took 30 minutes to make his points!!!” (30 minutes of not talking about Mitt’s Super Tuesday).

And what was up with Fox News not running the GA vote totals on the ticker strip?

Sarah Palin disclosed to Neil Cavuto that she voted for “the cheerful one.” (Newt)

Newt Gingrich picked up 69 additional delegates. His total to date 102 delegates. (By my count, he had 33 going into Super Tuesday and picked up 46 in GA, 2 in ND, 13 in OK and 8 in TN)

Larry Sabato’s pronouncement early in the evening that the VA GOP Primary ballot was rigged to help Romney, shockingly was given air time. A two-man field gave Mitt the majority win and 43 delegates.

Speaking of “Mitt helping” (going by the GOP’s own rules) the FL delegates should not have been winner take all, but rather proportional since the FL GOP moved their primary before March 1 (They were docked 30 delegates which I’m sure they hope the GOP will forgive and return to Mitt but they refused to adhere to the March 1 = proportional delegates. This would have given Newt many more delegates.) Word is this issue will be resolved at the convention.

Near the close of Fox’s coverage, it was very petty (but becoming his closing signature zinger) of Brit Hume to read a David Axelrod tweet saying that Mitt had just eked out a win in Ohio (Brit announced that tweet proved the Democrats don’t want to face Mitt and would much rather face Newt or Rick).

In fact, the entire night of Fox coverage was a vision of dismissal, mocking and annoyance with Newt Gingrich.

Fox News is carrying a ton of bias baggage for Mitt Romney.

The question now: Can Fox News drag Mitt into the GOP winner’s circle?

Up next:

March 10th -- KS Caucus (40 del)
March 13th -- AL Primary (47) AND MS Primary (37)
March 15th to 24th – MO Caucus (49)
March 20th IL “Loophole” Primary (69)
March 24th LA Primary (18)
And so on….

.....It's all about the numbers and the way forward.

Tennessee delegates:

Santorum: 25
Romney: 10
Gingrich: 8

Oklahoma delegates:

Santorum: 14
Gingrich: 13
Romney: 13

Atlanta delegates:

Gingrich: 46
Romney: 13
Santorum: 2

Newt also picked up 2 in ND, 3 in AK

Gingrich total delegates to date (w/o disputed FL numbers) 105.

I’m to the point I’d take Romney over Santorum.

I heard this from someone on the big thread last night. This seems to be the thrust of a lot of best supporters, and that’s ok if that’s whom you want. Especially if JimRob is feeling this way too.

But I’m not so sure he is. Santorum snt a gifted orator. He’s also not a RINO. He’s a real genuine conservative and lives it. A loving husband and father. He will appoint conservatives to the SC. Who knows whom Romney will appoint?

I’m confused. We’re supposed to be upset because a Presidential candidate got some airtime, as opposed to a teleprompter-reading model? Surely the viewers could still look at Ms. Kelly’s legs and bosom while Mr. Gingrich spoke, and that’s what she’s there for.

That is VERY disputable! The orator part you got right.

Santorum has dropped below 20% in GA. If that holds, he cannot claim any delegates. Two had been put in his column.

03/06 - GA: 47.4% Newt; 6.5% Paul; 25.7% Romney; 19.6% Santorum = 97% reporting.

Speaking of Fox News bias, Martha McCallum just promoed a piece on Newt’s “large victory” in Georgia and showed a clip of his speech last night, and pointed out that the two southern states of MS and AL are up next week. However, after introducing Steve Hayes, instead of talking about Newt’s chances in MS and AL next week, she asked Hayes what Romney can do to improve his chances there. I have had it with Fox.

........ I have had it with Fox.

Breit Bair was my last hope but his show's group of talking heads go after Newt (as they did Perry) and he does not challenge it.

I have gone from respecting Brit Hume to total disdain for the man. I can hardly stand to look at him. If you go to CNN they don’t bash Newt as bad as Foxney does. Pretty sad.

Miss Meghan is still smarting from when Newt schooled her on the judiciary during a Fox debate. Who could forget the look on her face then? LOL!!

"Ms Kelly’s on-air sneer gave away her feelings about Gov. Perry and his to answer her question about Newt’s path forward (he ignored it). I can only imagine how the Fox talent talks about Newt off air."

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. The condescending witch.

"I notice all the guys here on FR go ga ga goo goo over her. Shrill and she doesn’t do it for me."

As a woman, I think there are quite a few more attractive women on Fox than Megyn Kelly. Her face with that long chin looks like a skull with skin stretched over it. And last night when she got up from the desk, you could see she has absolutely no figure....she's just a stick without a single curve. My husband commented that she looked like a dandelion---a thin reed with a big head on top.

DId you understand the rest of my post...it came right after your excerpted part???

He won South Carolina, resoundingly.

So the statements I was refuting last night were that the only state he could ever win, had ever won, would ever win, was his home state of GA.

I didn’t have TV last night so I missed it all. I’m so sorry I didn’t see Governor Perry.

I’m really surprised Kelly sneered at him. What the heck did he do or say to merit that? He’s always been the friendliest of all!

Gov. Perry was perfectly friendly and gracious.

I think Georgia Girl 2 pegged it in Post #51.

I'm going to see Newt Gingrich tomorrow I'm glad he's getting Secret Service protection at long last, but I hopeI can talk to him long enough (again) to relate some of this information from all of us and to tell him (again)I'm from Free Republic where a lot of us are for him and that he must not drop out.

I think I'll bring my checkbook along in case I want to go to the $250 lunch after the morning rally, which should ensure time to talk to him at length...lol. Husband is mad at me for this idea, but I'm working on him.
