Weve noted many times how those costly electric cars (even after factoring in taxpayer subsidies for manufacturers, sellers and buyers) are hugely reliant on cheap fossil fuel. How else do you think they get the electricity they run on? Windmills?
And this cartoon pretty much sums up the absurdity of that predicament: . . .

speaking of useless blogs ... I mean bricks ....
This guy Jolie ODell is full of sh**t. He’s making this “bricking” up. I know a mechanic at Tesla and he says this isn’t true.
I read on another thread that five vehicles have had their batteries fail due to being fully discharged.
Apparently, the Volt (which is another waste of $) will not allow the battery to become fully discharged.
You better read it again. The roadster can and does “brick”
The model s will brck if it is not charged within 30 days of going to 0% charge.
All the rest is just PR talk.
Save your breath, landsbaum isn’t going to answer you, he’s just here to pimp his blog.
why did a non working windmill catch on fire?
*shrugs*
Happens often enough, too.
So what's the real story? If you're an idiot don't buy one, even if you can afford one.
There once was a cute gal from Tulsa
Who shelled out big big bucks for a Tesla
The battery was soon dead
But the warranty said
Keep it plugged in or we wont be able to help ya
I take it you have one. A gas powered vehicle doesn’t “brick” if it is stored - the two statements are not equivalent.
An expensive toy that uses more fossil fuels than the gas powered ones do. Hope you enjoy it.
Last year Vega is this years Volt.
Tearing up a little seeing your photo.
Yeah, gotta love the imagery there.
new car new rules!
How complicated is that? If you go away leave it plugged in. I have house plants that need water. If I go away the plants still need water. There's no flaw with my plants, is there? It has needs my arrowhead collection doesn't have!
I kinda wish I did have one. that'd say a lot about my economic status. I happen to be friends with Tesla's top mechanic.
Isn’t Tesla’s plant in Pelosi’s district?
Just like Fisker is connected to Delaware Joe Biden.
Both using former GM facilities I believe.
