TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Food; Health/Medicine; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: hyperbole
I hadn’t really thought about it until King County started paying my tax money to put up these billboards and print this campaign but I think it asks an important question:

“Why IS it that every time I walk in a grocery store I have to wade through piles of tobacco products to find any food?”

Sometimes it’s so bad, I have to ask an employee where all the food is. And it’s never where you can see it or access it easily. The fruit’s always tucked away in some dark corner of the store, usually behind a pile of chew.

And why do they keep the juice behind the cashiers where you can’t get to it?

Seriously people…..Let’s Do This!

"Do what?", you ask. Well, stop asking. Just do this! It's for the children.....it's for the child in the picture, who isn't being used for propaganda purposes, at all. Look close! I think I see a tear!

Well....she looks sad, anyway.

Or perplexed....like...."Why are you taking my picture, again? Are you a moron?"

You know, that liquor store is full of beer, why can’t it be full of Skim Milk?

And that crack house. It is full of cocaine, pot, and meth. Why can’t it be full of unicorns with rainbow ice cream cones coming out of its butt?

‘Cause the folks shopping at the 711 on MLK Blvd. don’t want fruit...unless it’s in a pop tart.

Ya. I’ve seen it in a few places. The first time I saw it I thought it was so absurd I couldn’t even process what I was seeing.

They just put one up at 6th and Denny. I went out in the garden to have a smoke and, bam! There it is. Full color annoyance.

I want to find the committee that thought this was a great idea and slap them all for half an hour.

And why can’t people who get annoyed by such pathetically stupid things buy their own stores and stock them with whatever the hell they want?

Oh, that’s right, because they’re liberals and liberals think they have the right to control everything and tell everyone how to think and what to do. (for the children).

I’d be willing to bet there’s a federal grant involved here.

I was once talking to a neighbor:

She said, "They should pass a law so that people can't do [whatever the topic was]."
I said, "I don't think that would be a good idea."
She said, "Oh! Big Surprise! You're a Republican! You people -- you people are Nazis! You just want to control everything!"
I said, "I'm not the one trying to pass laws telling people what they cannot do. All I want is to be left alone."
She thought about it and then said, "George Bush got us into this mess!" [which had nothing to do with anything, but it was the best she could do.]

Yep! Right at the end of the video - “Made possible by funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services”.

“Is tobacco a fruit or vegetable?”

C’mon now, you really mean “Is Obama a fruit or vegetable,” right?

The brainwashing practiced by liberals is simply amazing in it’s ability to control people and make them think the way they want them to think. Your ignorant friend blaming everything on Republicans is a perfect example of the narrow mindedness of know-nothings.

It worked for the Nazis, it worked for the Bolsheviks and it’s working quite well in America too. Conservatives like us are the only thing standing in the way of a new communism that is eating away like a cancer on our nation and it’s up to us to stop it while we still can.
