Uh, a sale is a sale as the hardware is produced and moved.
That’s true, however a fair number of those fleet sales include taxpayer money and the #1 cheerleader has been Obama.

Yes and no. In this case, the fleet sales appear to be to Obama-controlled corporations desperate to prevent the public-relations debacle that admitting the bailout of GM was a crime that cost American tens of billions of dollars.
So you propose that the federal gubmint and GE buying hundreds of these lemons and driving them into motor pools and then going out and buying more, is the same as real people buying them on the free market. Hm. Maybe the feds could just drive them into the sea and then replace them. Sales would double! Hooray!
Sales involving my unjustly confiscated money backing it, not once, not twice, but three times or so.
I resent that.
I also resent the outright Goebbels style propaganda that was pushed out, funding for it from out of MY pocket, pushing this piece of junk vehicle.
And every government fleet sale is used, again propaganda style, to promote this awful wannabe car.
If it was a good design, the sales figures would reflect that.
Remember, the Edsel sold 65,000 units in the first year and it was considered a dismal failure.
The Volt, 6,000 and it is hailed as a success?
The Prius sold more than that, and it’s a better hybrid.
Umm, a transaction which results in substantially less revenue than claimed for the seller is called what?
