Lady Gaga Goes to the White House for Anti-Bullying Campaign

Lady Gaga has kept her promise to one of her little Monsters who committed suicide after being tormented by years of bullying.

The "Born This Way" singer and sometime political activist is paying a visit to the White House today to confer with top administration officials about an anti-bullying campaign she's putting her star power behind.

So did Gaga meet President Obama?

Alas no, the commander-in-chief wasn't there to greet her, as he was in Kansas this afternoon giving a speech on the economy.

But Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, did supposedly sit down in the West Wing with Obama presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett and staff members from the Office of Public Engagement "to talk about the important issue of bullying" and ways to curb it, as one senior official told CBS News.

By doing so, the 25-year-old pop superstar made good on a vow to meet with Obama (well, his staff at least) on behalf of 14-year-old fan Jamey Rodemeyer, who was subjected to years of taunting about his sexuality before taking his own life in September.

"I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey," Gaga tweeted after hearing the tragic news of the New York teen's death, adding that bullying should be "illegal" and a "hate crime."

The entertainer also linked to Rodemeyer's own "It Gets Better" YouTube video, in which he talked about being made fun of and how much he looked up to Gaga.

She has since set up the Born This Way Foundation, a nonprofit aiming to empower youth in the face of bullying and abandonment and inspire bravery and acceptance and a world where individuality is encouraged.

Am I just dreaming? Is this just a bad dream that we'll all wake up from and laugh about it?

Lady Gaga’s Thanksgiving special lost out in the ratings to the old Charlie Brown cartoon they run every year. She is irrelevant.

Barry's new Bullying Czar. Lady Gaga. LOL!

Hey America! How's that hope and change workin' out for ya?

It's going to cost an arm and a leg to fumigate that place once this regime is gone.

She’s ... interesting ... to look at but I’ll give her props for her piano playing. Had to sit though a performance of her doing “On the Edge of Glory” (whatever it’s called) and I thought she did a great job. Another number where she pranced around with a bunch of backup dancers was lost on me.

Ah, the anorexic skag is on the march again. I guess she found a lull in her screeching to go wag her finger at people about something.

In a "ten car pileup on the interstate" sort of way.

Imaginary or exaggerated reports of crimes against homosexuals are used to justify official oppression against the normal.

What do you call it when a perverted homosexual student constantly makes sexual advances to a normal student? And this is done with the knowledge of the school leadership.

Let me get this straight.....this “Lady Gaga” skank is meeting at the White House with Obama’s fellow leftists, discussing how to make “bullying” a federal “hate crime.”

Meanwhile, Obama is in Kansas making a speech in which he demonizes the successful, hard working people who took great risks and created countless jobs while paying the government piles of money in taxes. In other words, Obama engaged in hate speech against the people who make the country work. Obama is engaging in economic bigotry.
Will his conduct be made a “hate crime,” too?

We are living in bizarro world.

I was spending the holiday at my parent’s house and she wanted to watch it. I’m assuming ironically. It was dreadful. The music wasn’t bad, but nothing that I would listen to. And because it was Gaga instead of another musical artist, there was no eye candy.

We are having our freedom destroyed by the tyranny of the minority. People don’t usually realize-—it is the minority that has always held the masses in servitude.

We have a right to condemn sodomy in the public square and in schools. The behavior is demeaning and disease-causing and destructive to the body and healthy relationships. She wants to lie to children and glorify dysfunctional behavior.

Minority superior rights—not equal rights— is what we have now. It is unconstitutional to give such despicable behavior special status as if it is natural. It is learned behavior-—caused by emotional or/and physical abuse in childhood.

People like Gaga are endorsing child abuse and emotional damage to the minds of children who fall for her deliberate lies. Children are never born “gay”—it is learned by artificial and abusive environments. She should go talk with the Afghani boys and find out how great that “lifestyle” is working for the homosexuals in Afghanistan. Women just love homosexual societies-—esp. the ones with no noses.

Obama supports some of the biggest bullies (SEIU/OWS) in modern American history.

This is like praising the Klan for promoting racial tolerance.

No amount of posters, programs, government intervention, therapy groups, or counseling will stop bullying.

Speaking as a teacher of 17 years...if you want to stop bullying overnight, quit punishing the kid that throws the second punch.

Bullying sucks, but it's not limited to "gay" kids. Anyone who acts like a freak, or is a braniac nerd, or plain socially awkward gets bullied. I was bullied because I was a scrawny, socially inept guy in middle school. Was it fair? Of course not, I did nothing to deserve it. I agree that bullying in general should be addressed, but it's ridiculous to make it a federal crime, especially over "gay" kids.

It's been said that the best revenge is living well. I live very well, thank you. And I'd wager that the oafs who tortured me as a kid are complete failures as adults. (Evil grin)

I think BO and the Mooch probably just ask Malia who she wants to meet and voila! it’s done. That’s how they got that total weirdo in the WH.

Her lack of talent to popularity ratio is matched only by Obama.

Been watching leftist aka progressive station have you. Seen that commercial where the geeks and nerds cry about being called names by so called bullies. At the end of the ad the kids say. But that is alright. When I get out of school. You’ll be working for me. Get a life!
Evil grin? Does that make you better then the bullies? Or just like them?
