When I first clicked on this video, I thought for sure that it couldn’t really be as awkward as some were saying. I was wrong. Your toes will curl.
The video features a younger Mitt Romney being interviewed by a young man during Romney’s failed 1994 senate campaign. It’s old for sure, but it’s going viral again (and it’s easy to see why).
To be sure, the awkwardness is not from Romney — it comes from the teen interviewer, who successfully turns what could have been a fun, local interview into a painful exchange about music.

This interview was simply a matter of Romney trying to be nice to a very immature, amateur interviewer. Maybe someone can show a clip of the sun rising next.

Lately though, every time I hear Romney, he misspeaks and has to correct himself. He stumbles over his rehearsed words. He seems very nervous. After being a career politician, for over 20 years now, and running for president for 5 years now, you would think he could speak confidently and fluently. But he can not.

Yeah, Romney is actually less plastic in his youth than now. This actually puts him in a better light than current interviews, which may be the point.
Eli Manning has come a long way since this interview.
Anybody that knows anything about companis liek Bain knows they do Road Shows for IPO candidates - imagine the TV show Shark Tank but for investors who get the first crack at an IPO. Now Romney works for one of the biggest and yet he does not seem ready for any road show. How did he get rich was it talent or (?)
