A friend of mine decided to let the Men’s Wearhouse know how he feels about their support of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. He returned a bag full of suits that he had purchased from them and captured the entire episode on video (see below).
As you can see from the photograph, the Men’s Wearhouse in Oakland, California decided to place a sign in their window showing their support for the OWS movement. According to an article by Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air.com, Men’s Wearhouse founder George Zimmer is financial supporter of President Obama and the socialist Democratic National Committee.
This may come as a surprise to many since Zimmer is obviously a capitalist and has made a considerable fortune hawking suits and other assorted men’s apparel. In fact, the menswear mogul has a net worth close to a billion-dollars according to Celebrity Networth.com. Not too shabby in global recession.
I decided to dig a little deeper and found that in 2011 alone, Zimmer has contributed $22,900 to left-wing Democrats such as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Dianne Feinstein according to Open Secrets.org.
Well George, I can tell you one thing, I won’t ever set foot in another one of your stores, I guarantee it!

Would not be caught dead in a Men’s Wearhouse off the rack suit.
I HATE shopping for clothes, especially dress clothes. Mens Wearhouse have always been the very best experience I’ve ever had. Superb customer service, and if you need a quick pressing, they’re always free. Terrific, fast service and very reasonable prices.
I think that over the years, I’ve probably bought 4 suits there. I won’t be going back again.

When the NVA came rolling through Saigon, the citizens lined the streets welcoming their "liberators." The manager, being in Oakland after all, probably knew that the Cops would do nothing if SHTF, so he likely thought he may as well try and forestall the OWS cretins from smashing up his place as long as he could.

All I saw on that video clip was the guy walking in, requesting a manager, handing over the suit, explaining why he chose to return the suit and walking out without any apparent effort at seeking a refund either to a credit card, account, or cash value of original purchase price. Did I miss how he cost the Mens Warehouse his business if no cash/credit was exchanged to begin with (beyond the publicity)?
In 2+ years of being on FR I have mentioned my own blog here exactly once and then not in a thread I started. FR is not the place to promote one’s personal or business blog and if it were then I’d not be here. It’d suck to have to sort out legitimate works from those lusting after their proverbial 15 minutes.
The democrats are the party of the rich and corrupt. Hope the jerk loses lots of business..some people are so stupid, they insult 1/2 of their customers and wonder why the bottom line is getting thinner...
