Via SeattleTimes:

The 150 Occupy Seattle tents in Westlake Park were taken down by 7:30 Monday morning as Seattle police and Seattle parks employees moved in to clear what the city has long said was illegal camping on city property.

Police also arrested nine people.

All the tents were down within a half-hour, according to Assistant Police Chief Mike Sanford.

The protesters were told to take the tents down. If they didn’t take them down themselves, police or parks employees took them down for them, according to Sanford.

Seattle? This happened in Seattle? Apparently there is more testosterone in Seattle than NYC (who knew?). Perhaps Bloomingidiot will run for mayor of Seattle next time around.

Mayor Bloomberg had some negative things to say about the Tea Party but positive things to say about the “occupy Wall Street” crowd. What as a$$hole.

I’d say there are more than a few liberal, democrat big-city mayors who are coming to the conclusion that pandering to the occupiers much longer is going to cost them electorally with their own voters. The Seattle people especially do not want a replay of the “Battle of Seattle” circa 1999.

Pandering to the Left goes only so far in the short term, then it becomes a liability in the long-term, as the Dems are going to find out next year.

I’d say Bloomie’s career is pretty much over, what with his nannyism, shameless 9-11 mosque pandering, and now this.

LoL! The NYPD is waiting to be unleashed while NYC gets trashed by these protesters. Protest all you want but squatting in parks is a health hazard.

It was more like 6 am. I was up at the time watching it live. I think that was the plan. Rather than hit them at the 10pm deadline when they were prepared to make a huge scene, wait until early Monday morning and give them a wake-up call. If it was mea the wake up call would have included a few fire hoses.

The Seattle Liberal talk radio station was calling on its listners to make it a 500 tent show of force. They barely got 100 at most.

I’m surprised they didn’t choose to protest here:

What Bloomberg has done is FOSTER the development of a serious body and head lice infestation in the Heart of New York City.

I think we should bring in the Serbian Army to take care of this one.

I sent the Mayor of Seattle an email regarding how folks around here thought about the whole gang who had a bunch down here in DC trying to burn down the Smithsonian.

if he thought these were nice folks he should stay away from this part of the country since we didn't need more of his kind. Or, he could show some good faith with a major beat down on the pukes in Seattle.

He's half way there.

Now is the time to praise him for acting and to advise him to be more assertive in the future.

the reek of patchouli oil must have been galling!!

Patchouli Oil--- Hippie perfume. An oil worn as perfume by dirty hippies in lieu of showering or bathing in any way. Used to mask the scent of marijuana and week old body odor, but usually it merely mixes with the scent to form a new, BO/Patchouli combo that can repulse even those who are olfactorally challenged, except for hippies, who love it.

Fred: I can't go to the war protest because of all the Patchouli oil. It makes me gag.

Hippie: Mmmmmmm, mm, mmm , mmmm. Is that sex I smell?

While gathering the tents into a pile, I liked seeing the garbage truck in the background. The police spokesman saying the owners could pick them up later with a phone call, not so much.

The protesters are exposing their kids to all this. Makes it worse.

There’s no shortage of hard-azz cops in Seattle, but they’re kept on a tight leash by the ultra-leftist chief and mayor.
