Romney tells conservative voters that poisonous language doesnt advance their cause .........”Perry told a reporter in Iowa that he did not agree with Jeffress.”.......
Romney responds to Mormon flare-up; Perry passes ............”At an event in Iowa later Friday, Perry was asked if he believes Mormonism is a cult. “No,” Perry said.”.......

Here in Texas we do have some term limitations. Thank God!
What’s the term limits on governor?
It wouldn’t be hitting the abuse button. Just bring JR’s attention to them. He can track them and make his own determination. I saw him sniffing around last night.
Headlines are all they want.
From her articles, Katrina Trinko at National Review, appears not to be a Perry fan — She’s lined up with Herman Cain (tweets - NRO - Corner posts).
Opps!
I am wrong!
There are no term limits on Governor! I thought that it was 3 terms and went to verify.
Sorry for my mistake.
(first time in the past 5 minutes!)
Why would he not be able to run for Governor again? We dont have term limits.
Are we allowed to question it?
Are we bigots if we say “no”?
Why would a candidate even get drawn by the MEdia into a discussion of comparative religion?
Perry and the rest of them need to stare this down and refuse to play this game.
BTW- Mormonism is NOT Christian by many theological interpretations. None of which deserve to be labeled as “bigotry”.
Nor is it bigotry to be uncomfortable with handing control of the nation to a man whose beliefs, religious or otherwise, make you uncomfortable.
Yeah, I now know that. I thought that we did.
I was wrong. (1st time in the past 10 minutes)
Can you expand on that please?
There seems to be a huge split in Texans between those who love Perry and those who hate him.
I like what I am seeing of him, so can you tell me exactly why you don’t like him?
“This had nothing to do with Perry but more to do with the 0bama fellating press shaping the debate away from the real issue of the economy onto one that most people dont give a flip about.”
Naa, Perry still has a lot of money. He has to get his advance-men out there early if he wants to ever get back into the top tier.
Of course. Like Friday, I missed the afternoon speeches at Value Voter summit...so I went to cspan to watch it...Perry’s speech had been totally cut out of the afternoon session. They claimed there was a signal problem. The speech later showed up at cspan...making the signal problem a lie.
Well, it could be bigotry.
The two definitions of bigotry are:
1. stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one’s own.
2. the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.
But I think the real question is “Is bigotry always wrong?”
I dont think so. I am bigoted, according to the first definition, towards communism, and Im fine with that.
Howie
I could be wrong but I don’t think there are term limits for the Governor in Texas.
Poor Fred just got used and tossed aside.
Of course it is absurd just like blasting Perry because someone paints something on a rock.
Where to begin?
I am opposed to rewarding criminal behavior. So, that means that I am opposed to giving in-state tuition to the children of ILLEGAL ALIENS that our government has failed to deport.
I am in favor of border security, an issue that Perry campaigned on while running for re-election but then immediately forgot about once re-elected.
I am a strong supporter of private property rights. This is something that Perry showed little regard for while he was pushing the Trans Texas Corridor agenda. Not only would that have hurt the property rights of Texans from one end of the state to another, it would have also turned control of a highway system to a foreign company.
I am a strong believer in smaller government that stays out of decision making areas that should be the sole domain of the family. Perry showed disdain for this idea when he was pushing for a State Mandate for medical decisions to be removed from the family. Gardisil.
Lastly, it wasn’t that very long ago where Rick Perry was the Texas State Campaign Manager for Al Gore’s presidential run in 1988. That for me, is enough do disqualify him.
I could go on, but I think you can see my point.
Now just to be perfectly clear....IF by some magnificent fluke, Perry were to get the GOP nod.... I would vote against Barak Hussein Ubama.
Do not construe this as any kind of endorsement “for” Perry, though. I would be holding my nose just as tightly as I did when I voted for the Establishment GOP nominee in 2008.
“As a Texan, I have seen more than enough of Perry to last me a lifetime. Thank goodness that he can not run for Governor again.”
Why not? And I hope you can answer, because I too am sick of him here.
Correct. I have already admitted being wrong in a couple of other posts.
Good thing I’m not Samurai.
