Some Latinos see Obama 'betrayal' on immigration

Latino leaders say the administration hasn't done enough to push for comprehensive immigration reform in Congress, while deporting too many immigrants. Still, the administration has sued to overturn tough immigration laws in two states, and is weighing challenges in others. For the president, it's a difficult political balancing act.

President Obama came into office with strong Latino support, having won two-thirds of the Latino vote, according to exit polls. But for some, that support has turned to disillusionment.

"There's a deep sense of betrayal and disappointment towards the Obama administration," said Sarahi Uribe, coordinator of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network

It says here, "Immigration is an issue of concern to Latinos," she said, "but that doesn't mean that we also don't also care about issues such as the economy and education .. Immigration reform means just put a band aid on it. Everything latino's want is the same thing said for 1986 reform

All good criticisms, sure, but how about, “...and we’re not sure we like a guy who arms drug-dealers in our country. Killing 3,000 of our people is not so hot..”

Latino leaders say the administration hasn't done enough to push for comprehensive immigration reform in Congress, while deporting too many (illegal‼) immigrants
The LORD rebuke the liberal media; these "immigrants" (invaders?) wouldn't be deported if they weren't illegally here. The LORD also rebuke these so-called "Latino leaders" (Isaiah 3:12 applies to them as well as us) with their blatant anti-American bent.

. . . anarchy.

And ain't it funny how the Hispanic population at large hasn't rejected these Latino misleaders. Sounds like bigotry to me . . .

We have an Immigration Program.
It has worked perfectly well for 100’s of thousands of
German, Dutch, French, Chinese, Japanese,English, African, Asian, etc etc. peoples for decades.
Why is it only a problem for the Latino’s??

Why`s it a problem only for the Latinos?

The other ethnicities don`t have “Aztlan” as their goal. Many Latinos believe this is THEIR continent.

The Republicans running for president, with the exception of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, are taking a hard line on immigration issues. So the real worry for the president isn't Latinos voting for Republicans — it's that they won't vote at all.

Sort of at odds with some of the spin we've seen on FR about how tough Perry is on enforcing immigration law.

And the other candidates often wimp out when it comes to saying what should be done with the illegals already here. That "secure the border first" position is still popular, with little detail about what should happen next.

By "Latino leaders" I'm assuming the author is referring to the over-paid lawyers who make a mint from taxpayers to "represent" their clients while guaranteeing they will be forced to live desperate, hopeless lives in the shadows of American society.

Good on ya, Lawyers. Hell's not going to be bad enough for you.

“And the other candidates often wimp out when it comes to saying what should be done with the illegals already here.”

It’s because they have no intention of deporting any of the illegals.
They are truly the Democrat Lite party. Except for the Bush wing, which is to the left of the Democrats when it comes to immigration.
