My Honduras (cultural nationalism?)

My Honduras (cultural nationalism?)

The Hondurans are proud to be and with legitimate reason. We clear our belonging to this geographical area, we are fully identified with the culture of the country that has been forged over many years: a way of being, a manner of speaking, a set of social attitudes, a kind of food . And we interact closely with anything that symbolizes the motherland.

What seems very clear that we have is that this country is ours. We seldom think that Honduras is mine. That feeling compelling, so we have not developed.

I think at this critical hour of our history, it is necessary, indispensable, that each of us reflect on our responsibility toward Honduras. Mine, not ours, but the responsibility and obligation that I, personally, I have to the country. For this land God has given me or allowed me to take, and which is mine. Honduras mine, me and you and every one of my fellow citizens: it is an inescapable consequence of nationality.

Therefore, I, you and each of us that Hondurans constitute collective, are responsible for the care of Honduras and its integrity. Responsible for continuous improvement. Responsible for their progress and development. My obligation to Honduras is the same that I can have for my mother, my wife, for my children.

It must be said openly and become aware of this: If Honduras is poor, it's my fault. If Honduras is torn by violence and the culture of death, it is because I have not done anything about it. If the country's assets, which are my property, stolen the corrupt, it is because I allow it. And if I think the government does what it should, is because I do not require otherwise, because the rulers are my employees and I have the right and duty to remind them of their condition and requiring them to fulfill their duty. And if more than half of my fellow citizens are struggling in poverty, in abject poverty that prevents them from a life of dignity, it is because I, or do nothing or do little to help give them a chance to succeed.

How often participate in meetings of friends or coworkers where worn for hours to complain about anything and everything. We have all become experts in view and analyze the problems in Honduras and are specialists in saying what should be done. Well, actually, what to do others, because what I am ... To myself I am always gracious and excuse my selfishness: "I can not, I have no time", "I told you, but ignore" "what one do you do? If it's like, "" ehh! I do not. And me why? What I want is to go to iunai ".

Enough. If I keep leaving my responsibility, I will lose the country, my country!

They say that hope is the last thing I feel lost and Honduras has lost hope. Those who have children studying abroad do not want to return and those who are physically, they just want to leave, leave, to mourn for the country in Miami.

If I put myself and you own, this wonderful country will move forward renewed and thriving. Because it is full, full of opportunities. I can!, You can!, We can! We! It only takes one act of will and show my love for this Honduras mine with deeds and not words.

Today as I was looking for answers for what appears to be the pending sell out of Honduras by the new President of that nation, Mr. Lobo.; I found this article. (in Spanish)

It reminded me of our many discussions about our sense of unity and pride in our nation and heritage. It also reminded me of how I despise the Globalist Totalitarian Left and the Globalist who claim not to be leftist (but are still totalitarianist).

Is what this author described a universal love of freedom of a nation and does it show how hard it is to maintain?

This is one of the most revealing articles about Mr. Lobo. It show how he thinks and that he is in bed with Obozo.

They will meet in the White Hut on October 5.

(note: I have been unable to find an English equivalent of this Reuters article)

Wolf felt that the world today has become global, as well as trade and communications, therefore “you also have to globalize solidarity as well as the right of any citizen of the world to live where they want to live.”

“Not only what should be globalized, but everything,” he said.
