911 Family Members Excluded from Official Tenth Anniversary 911 Ceremonies

Today, one 911 mom, who lost her son, said to me of our 911 Freedom Rally, "I am looking forward to the rally. It is a place we can be free to really remember the who, why, when and where of 9-11. The morning ceremony is devoid of any meaning."

The NY Post is reporting that many 911 family members have not been invited to the official ceremonies of 911. This is just monstrous. First it was clergy, then 911 first responders who were excluded from the official ceremonies -- now it's the victims' families.

Mayor Gloomberg not only lost his heart, but he lost his marbles.

All 911 family members, first responders and clergy are welcome at the AFDI/SIOA 911 Freedom Rally at Ground Zero on September 11th. The "official" ceremonies are anything but that. They do not represent the reality of the war or the will of the American people. Members of various clergy will make the invocation of the AFDI/SIOA 911 Freedom Rally at West Broadway and Park Place at Ground Zero at 3:00 pm on September 11th. Speaking will be 911 family members, including Rosaleen Tallon, sister of hero firefighter and reservist in the United States Marine Corps, Sean Tallon, 9/11 attacks; Sally Regenhard, mother of hero firefighter Christian Regenhard, killed in the 911 attacks (Regenhard is an American activist who has become one of the leading voices for the families of the victims of the September); Nelly Brazinsky, who lost her only son, Alec; U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton; German MP René Stadtkewitz, leader of Germany’s Freedom Party (livestreaming to Germany), Dr. Arieh Eldad, former candidate for Prime Minister of Israel, Member of the Knesset;

It would be excellent if the families held their own remembrance, and let Bloomberg’s event be attended only by his bodyguards and the lib quislings hiding their faces from the cameras.

At my church next Sunday, which is the first Sunday for my weekly Sunday morning mass choir gathering, the choir that I am in will sing a special song called “That We May Heal”. Plus will light a candle with 3 wicks that night. Staying away from this nonsense which it has become in NYC.

I am amazed at how much I remember from one day. I can recall vividly that my Mom called after the first plane. I was talking to her on the phone when the second plane hit. The words out of my mouth were, “We’re at War”. A few hours later, my Mom and youngest brother drove to my house. They couldn’t reach my other two brothers who worked in the District. (there had been false reports of car bombings in the District and other reports of people being killed). I remember her saying, “I don’t know if I can handle losing two out of my four children”.

Most vividly, I remember the towers falling. I remember feeling nauseous, incredulous, and stunned... all at the same time. I will never forget that day. Never. Bloomberg can kiss up to the Muslims all he wants... it isn’t right. I see him as a traitor. I see Obama’s one statement, “We could absorb another 9/11” as one of the most stupid, insensitive comments that I think I have ever heard. And, yes, our anger is justified and correct!

Our politicians are a major disgrace. They are in bed with wealthy Saudis and Grover Norquist (including Christie) and they want US to shut up and go away. And we won’t!

I had applied for a job at the trade towers a year before 9/11 and decided against it - the commute seemmed too long, the buildings so overwhelming, etc. So when the planes hit I thought of the woman who might have gotten the job that I rejected. I also remember the woman who interviewed me - is she dead? The thoughts that run through my brain!

That day must have been especially overwhelming to you. It is one of those times that my older relatives would use the term, “There but for the grace of God..” Simply meaning, it could have been YOU and for whatever reason, you were spared. The fact that you remembered faces of people you met during the interview... so sad. It is almost haunting in a way... the man you saw on the elevator, the woman at a desk... did they get out or not? My father’s generation refused to get over Pearl Harbor and I don’t plan on getting over 9/11.

Did he really? You know, I predicted that a few years back. (I am not usually that good with liberal predictions). I felt that each year, the liberals were “down sizing” and “minimizing” 9/11. It is what they do... I understand that some FR’s don’t like the focus just on the victims. We all did suffer with regulations etc. and it did change our Country. However, I will say this: if we forget the NAMES of those poor souls who jumped, crashed, burned etc... then 9/11 becomes a *note* historically. The victims become a number only. Numbers can be swept away and forgotten all too soon. IMHO.
