Glenn Beck and his beloved sidekick Pat Gray, who used to live in Texas, recently had a conversation with some people very close to Rick Perry with regard to their concerns about him as a candidate. These are people who Beck, without divulging their identities, says that he trusts and that if he could tell you who they were it would only add credibility to their words. What they told him was that in the last four years Rick Perry has had a God-moment:
Beck: Heres what I was told and I believe these people because theyre not just bandwagon fans by any stretch of the imagination. They had real problems with George W. Bush. And they said to me Heres the thing. This guy had a God-moment, if you will, an awakening of something inside of him
Gray: A spiritual awakening
Beck: Yeah. I mean hes always been a spiritual guy but he has had something that has changed in him fundamentally where hes like OK wait a minute. Hang on just a second. Do I believe this or not? Do I apply this or not? And thats whats happened to him in the last four years that has put his feet in cement.
Beck and Pat both agree they are not making an endorsement, but it does seems their minds have been changed about Perry.
The above is all part of a bigger monologue on how the Bush people are coming out in support of Sarah Palin running for president, which to Beck means they are really just opposing Rick Perry. They think, just as the media supported McCain, that Rove and his people supporting Palin as a way of hurting Rick Perry...

Levin was never “hot” on Romney. After all the other conservatives were gone, and we were left with McCain, Giuliani, Romney, and Huckabee, some of the conservative talk show hosts decided that Romney was the best of that bunch. They really didn’t want McCain, and they didn’t seem to like Huckabee. Heck, Limbaugh even said he’d support Giuliani if he had to.
I used the talk show host support to note that conservatives COULD support Mitt Romney; but even I never said they were happy about it.
I can answer that one easily. Never. Because up until now, she has not even HAD a campaign, so how could it possibly be at "death's door"?
She didn't say that. She said she hadn't yet decided she could support anybody in the field, but she was still watching, and would make her decision after she decided if someone in the field proved themselves to be someone she could support.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
Haven’t followed Beck in about a week. Because he got busy with Israel, he never said anything on Perry. Looks like he did today. Well it is too bad if he hates on Bachmann. But he is a fan of Bachmann. He’s misquoted a bit. So I’ll go off what I hear when I hear it.
If Rush and beck back Perry, I’ll oppose them for once.
At least with opposing Perry you don't need to be worried about being attacked and being called every name in the book and with any luck getting you banned from the forum.
I CAN say that about the Perry supporters.
Boy, if Rush and Beck support someone, I didn’t, I’d go back through all the unbiased material I could find an reexamine what I have missed.
“Id vote for Perry just to send a Texan with a drawl and an eviction notice to fumigate our house of the commie cock roaches that inhabit it now...”
Have to admit, one image I love is the reaction of the Secret Service if Perry continues to carry concealed — or *gasp* goes down to the gun range for some shootin’ with his buds. That would make heads explode — and not from the shootin’ irons.
How is this “Beck picking my candidate”?
