If Palin were to avoid the press for two weeks post announcement, there'd be hell to pay. Let's find out more about where the man stands before annointing him the "front runner." Based on everything I've seen and heard, I foresee a meltdown within 3-5 weeks.

I certainly hope he melts down. People are worshiping this guy like the 2nd coming and the fact of the matter is that Bush was probably more conservative.

Perry takes his stand depending on who donates cash and with a finger in the wind.

He does not have a set ideology.

He’s a gummie politician.

Hey SHUT UP!!!!

We’re supposed to think that Perry is the second coming of Reagan and project that image on him. If people find out just who he is, what he wants, and what his record has been, he’s toast...

Elmer Fudd on crack is a step up from our present location.

Give me anyone, including Elmer, who will beat Obama and that person has my vote.

If anyone on here cannot see the dire situation this country is in just keep on bashing whomever shows up as the ‘person to beat’.

Perry, Mitt, Sarah, Michelle, Herman, or Elmer. I’d have a very tough time voting for Huntsman who is running to support the O.

I am really amazed by all the Perry bashing here on Free Republic. Myself I will just wait and see what happens and how things unfold. The main focus/objective should be on getting Obama out of office. If it turns out to be Perry so be it. He is light years ahead of what we have now.

FACT of the matter is, is that if Rick Perry still had the D by his name. We would’ve toasted this flip-flopper already.

“We can expect Slick Rick to steal all of Sarah’s positions”

That’s this stupid primary season in a nutshell—before the debate has even begun, start with the labels, while whining that “Sarah” somehow has the copyright on conservatism.

I didn’t know my positions were “Sarah’s” positions. If Palin stands for something, no one else can have the same position?

If Palin is so brilliant, why would she support someone who’s ‘stealing’ from her?

The answer, of course, is that Palin is indeed very smart and she supported Perry. Obviously some of her supporters think she was duped by him, while they’re smarter because they see what she didn’t.

I’ll stick with Palin over her rabid fans, thanks.

This is not exactly a well thought out blog/knee capping. To say that Perry hasn't taken any position on anything foreign or domestic is a farce, if not an outright lie. If the writer of the blog wants to be taken seriously, he/she needs to get his/her facts straight before they come out making incorrect blanket statements about Perry.

Here's some policy issues for the people who think he's a communist and Obama's other half.

Pro-2nd Amendment? Check
Pro-10th Amendment? Check
Wants lower taxes? Check
Wants less federal regulation? Check
Wants businesses to decide where they should set up shop, and not the federal government? Check
Supports Israel? Check
Supports the military? Check
Supports increased domestic drilling? Check
Supports balanced budget amendment? Check
Supports cut/cap/balance? Check
Pro Tort reform? Check
Pro loser pays? Check
Has repeatedly called on the federal government to do its job to protect the borders with foreign countries? Check
Has spend hundreds of millions of Texas' money to combat that problem? Check
Has joined the legal fight to block obamacare? Check
Wants obamacare overturned by the Congress? Check

So the author of this blog is either ignorant or lying on purpose.

This is an old cartoon, so don't forget the "Pro-Communist Health Care" and "Anti-Communist Health Care" podiums:

I do find it interesting that the alleged do-nothing Rick Perry is portrayed by this blogger with this picture of Perry with Barack Obama:

The blogger, in his ignorance, probably thinks this suddenly conveys that Perry is a fan or pal of Obama and, therefore, a true RINO.

But this picture is Perry confronting Obama on an airport tarmac in Austin where he was demanding Obama answer him on what Obama was going to do about violence along the Mexican border.

Take a look at the expression on Perry's face. That doesn't look like a "Texas gives you a warm Howdy, Mr. President" look. That looks like a "I'm pissed off and I'm getting in your grill to demand an answer" look.

Publicity stunt? Possibly.

But it seems ironic that the doufus who wrote this blog showed a picture that undercuts his message.

I want a candidate that's unafraid to get in Obama's grill and demand answers. Yet the moron who wrote the blog thinks putting a stern-faced picture of Perry staring down Obama shows they are really Bilderberger pals who share the secret Harvard handshakes when nobody is watching because, well, why else would the two be caught in the same picture?

“The presidential race is heating up. We now have conservatives Bachmann and Cain officially in the race fending off RINO Romney; and Palin and Perry could possibly jump in. My hopes are with Palin, but if she decides not to run I could be happy with Bachmann or Cain. Also, if Palin does not run but Perry does, he’d probably suck all the air out of the race. Either way, Palin, Bachmann, Cain or even Perry would all be excellent alternatives to Obama the commie. Anyone but RINO Romney the big government chief architect of CommieCare!”
