Meth-Laced Breast Milk Undermines Choice Argument
The Winston Review ^ | August 8, 2011 | B.P. Terpstra

Posted on 08/07/2011 7:19:50 PM PDT by AustralianConservative

This morning, I witnessed a lady brushing her teeth while driving. Also, in adults-first libertarianism news, a mother allegedly killed her baby, with meth-laced breast milk.

Good one.

Or as the Mail Online, UK, reports, “A 26-year-old woman has been charged with murdering her…newborn son after he drank her methamphetamine-laced breast milk.”

Of course, drug addicts only see rights in their adults-first libertarian terms. “Six-week-old Michael Acosta III was taken to the hospital after he stopped breathing last November and was pronounced dead.”

But prepare, for adults-first libertarians, devoted to “reason” to ignore the science. Or as we’re also informed, “Investigators determined his mother, Maggie Jean Wortman, had breastfed the child while she had drugs in her system.”

Drugs-first libertarianism isn’t about my liberty or in this case a dead baby’s liberty. It’s about narcissistic (often welfare-dependent) parasites acting like stuff-you gods.

I do it all the time. What's the problem?

There is a story making the rounds locally about an intern who was covering the ER in one of the local hospitals, when one of the local tweakers came in, high on meth for five or six days and well into labor.

When she delivered the baby, Mom’s first comment was “Oh look! He’s shakin’ just like me!”

Sickening...

Well, the article says it’s true, but I wonder how MUCH meth you can transfer in this manner and whether it’s enough to kill an infant.

Babies don’t have any teeth to begin with, so what’s the problem.

Joking!

Not surprised, in the least. Narcissism speaks me-language.

There are hundreds of examples, but let’s experiment on babies, hey? They’re rat labs for adults-first libertarians, aren’t they?

LOL: The dead people on the side of the road.

Yea, it's so incredibly difficult to control a car while moving a brush over your teeth. It's like patting your head and rubbing your tummy. The next thing you know your are rhythmically mashing on the accelerator while calmly pushing on your teeth. There are dead bodies everywhere whenever somebody tries it.

Seriously, people do all sorts of things in their cars far more distracting than getting off that little patch of fuzz the morning brush somehow missed.

I'm sure it would really frost AustrailianAntiDrugCrusader to know how many times back in the day I steered with my knees while lighting a one hit, without ever generating a dead body, or a driving blemish of any kind.

What has this to do with libertarianism? There is not a libertarian nation on the planet.

What some libertarians wish to be at some future time is to blame for the reality of the here-and-now?

WHAT in hell is "drugs-first libertarianism"? I never heard of it before, and I suspect the author made it up to set up a phony straw man to knock libertarianism in general. I happen to know several dozen libertarians and NOT A SINGLE ONE advocates letting murderers or any other criminals off because they use drugs. NOT ONE.

Obviously, you’ve never read a libertarian magazine, and the excuses they make up to defend lowlifes. But save your anger for drug drivers.
