Was this promulgated while the Democrats were still dreaming of holding on to the full Congress in 2010?

This article from last year (before Fast & Furious came to light) shows how they intended F & F to serve their propaganda.

Force/encourage dealers to sell guns, then show how many US guns were being used in Mexico. Obama/Holder then need only a short hop to then try to implement a ‘crackdown’ on gun sales...voila!!!

THIS was the real intent of this scandalous program implemented by this scandalous administration.

Media Matters and Stewart would seem to have some serious new work to do in patching up the "underpants gnome" defense.

Media Matters doesn't give rat's ass about facts of any kind. They are typical Soros front, only interested in pushing up the hysteria level of the loonie left.

How many don’t get the reference “underpants gnome”?

I find this absolutely amazing that some obscure SouthPark episode has made its way so deep into our culture as to be used as an example in a political discussion.

The “Underpants Gnome” episode is a very good examination of the thought processes of a lot of people.

Step 1) Do something bizarre (Steal underpants)
Step 2) ????
Step 3) Get the result you want (profit)

Obama told Mrs. Brady:

“We are working under the radar.”

It’s as plain as the butt on Obama’s wife what that means.

“Gunwalker” is that under the radar plan.

If the trail of dots on Fast and Furious and Gunwalker lead to Attorney General Holder, and then to President Obama, and if this policy was planned to involve creating chaos in Mexico in order to justify changes in the US domestic political dynamic, not only are these officials complicit in any deaths in Mexico, but I think this an impeachable offense because it subverts the Constitution.

If the above reasoning is sound, could we not say the same about the Gulf of Tonkin Incident that was used to justify war? I am prepared that some would claim the same for Bush 43 and his invasion of Iraq except that invasion was supported at the time by independent evidence supplied by other nations, even as that some of that evidence was later shown to mostly be erroneous.

What is also interesting is the confidence that Obama has placed in the media on this.

Let’s say the plan went forward and the administration was showing numbers of US weapons traced to Mexico.

Dealers who were forced to sell firearms would be screaming about the setup.

Obama knows that the MSM would ignore the claims made by those dealers and actually paint them as “part of the problem”.

The test run for this was conducted in 2010 by the Washington Post who ran numerous stories about specific dealers who had the highest number of criminally used firearms traced back to their store.

The Washington Post story was based on information given to them by the BATFE.

The dealers were all cleared as they were cooperating with the BATFE. The Washington Post gave less than one paragraph to the dealers’ clearance....but their names were smeared.

This was the template for Fast & Furious.
