Sounds like sensible advise. I quit believing the president a long time ago. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever believed him.

Once again... the GOP’s “leaders” must be forced to re-focus. Somehow, they can’t help straying off track. WTH could Boehner find about 0bama that he could “believe?”

If 0bama told me it was sunny outside, I’d still look into the sky to verify.

That’s how much I distrust 0bama.

He’s a leftist (liberal/marxist/communist).

Of COURSE you shouldn’t believe him.

Starts out sounding sensible. Then he starts sounding like a fool: Because the fact is if he’ll do his homework he’ll find there is such a thing called the Social Security Trust fund, and the Social Security Trust fund will be able to pay seniors their checks for many months to come even if Congress does nothing.”

WooHoo for the congressman. I remember the SOTU address — where some dim (dont recall who) had ribbons printed up to show ‘unity’ or somethin and congress pairing off - dim, pub, dim, pub. And the pubs went along to not offend the dims. Does Boehner get it? Charlie Brown. Football. Lucy. Never ends.

Even if he did try to withhold Social Security payments, surely he realizes that he would make as many Democrats upset with him as Republicans. I mean — does he really believe that only Republicans get Social Security checks?

And does he really want to lose the entire state of Florida, which is loaded with seniors?

If he does try to withhold Social Security payments, it would seem to me that it’s political suicide.

As soon as I heard the statement about “can’t promise we’ll issue social security checks” I knew we’d heard another lie. It’s for exactly the same reason you stated; Social Security is paid for by funds specifically collected for that purpose. This statement was just another heavy-handed Marxist scare tactic. Of course the media was all over that...NOT!

The problem is that Boehner doesn’t come right out and refute it as a lie, which it is.

Has Boner ever heard of taqqiya speech, or is he just as ignorant and naive about Islam as the majority of Americans?

The problem that has been stated here innumerable times, the problem that prompted McConnell to make his inane proposal, is that Big Media will simply blame republicans for starving the old people, not Obama.

And just where the hell has McConnell been all this time? You don’t fight a war from your knees. The enemy is obvious, Mitch. Get on your feet and fight!!!!
