Dear Attorney General Holder:

As our investigation in Operation Fast and Furious has progressed, we have learned that senior officials at the Department of Justice (DOJ), including Senate-confirmed political appointees, were unquestionably aware of the implementation of this reckless program. Therefore it is necessary to review communications between and among these senior officials. As such, please provide all records relating to communications between and among the following individuals regarding Operation Fast and Furious:

1. David Ogden, Former Deputy Attorney General;

2. Gary Grindler, Officer of the Attorney General and former Acting Deputy Attorney General;

3. James Cole, Deputy Attorney General;

4. Lanny Breuer, Assistant Attorney General;

5. Kenneth Blanco, Deputy Assistant Attorney General;

6. Jason Weinstein, Deputy Assistant Attorney General;

7. John Keeney, Deputy Assistant Attorney General;

8. Matt Axelrod, Associate Deputy Attorney General;

9. Ed Siskel, Former Associate Deputy Attorney General;

10. Brad Smith, Office of the Deputy Attorney General;

“These records should include e-mails, memoranda, briefing papers, and handwritten notes. Additionally, any records related to communications referring to a large firearms trafficking case within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) or in Phoenix should be included in any production.”

That’s a big “or”. It means that the records they seek are not simply limited to Phoenix but to any “large firearms trafficking case within (ATF).”

Houston and Tampa, here we come!

The Axelrod crew are a motley bunch. When you find one you'll always find a bunch of Commies, terrorists and gunrunners.

Nothing new here.

I think the president was well aware of this, signed off on it, and I’m wondering if that’s that an impeachable offense. At least one American died in this operation, and maybe more, of which we are not yet aware.

Unfortunately, the Woodward and Bernstein of Gunwalker post on The Examiner and Blogspot instead of the Washington Post..and so therefore...the Blogspot can’t be posted in News.

Anyone know if Matt Axelrod is any relation to another infamous Axelrod?

Serial killings are the hallmark of Operation Gunrunner. All of the people named in the above list are eligible for multiple life sentences at hard labor or maybe even a ride on the gurney at Terre Haute.

Axelrod is not exactly an uncommon name. I went digging through the net to see if there was a relationship and nothing popped up right away.

Doesn't mean there isn't something ~ but David's mom was a Commie!

Holder is stupid. He could know everything and not understand any of it. This is the age of EIEIO appointments.

We need a new conservative Pulitzer-type prize. Codrea and Vanderbaugh would both win for this.

Haven't gone through all of them but odds are good that as they were nominated for their jobs in DOJ their dear friends at Google.com DELETED most of their pictures.

We have some Freepers who do not understand what picture trimming has to do with anything, but in this case it would be for the security and safety of the nominee and his family.

Coons, the geek who won the Senate seat in Delaware, had been a county manager for years and years. Ordinarily those guys end up getting pictures with every civic and youth group in the county. It's a stock item ~ and if they're not seen in a picture with kids and groups they get pictured with animals at the animal shelter, winning animals in contests, and so forth.

It's just part of the job ~ UNTIL they run for the Senate ~ then all that disappears. Coons was seen mostly in a suit for the remainder of the campaign.

It's hard to find a picture of Andrew Cuomo with his live in girlfriend. It's harder yet to find a picture of Marion Barry (former Mayor for Life in DC) in anything other than a suit yet he was famous for jogging in his togs every morning and stopping in for coffee? with selected honeys.

Years went by and you never saw him in a suit, just that jogging outfit.

Apparently this is a service Google.com offers to politicians and celebrities ~

So far I haven't found any reason to believe it's done in a partisan way. On the other hand if this becomes the historic record for the archeologists it'll look like we lived in a very stiff and formal time ~
