One Of The Weapons The ATF Allowed To Be Purchased By Mexican Drug Cartels

Republican Darrell Issa of CA, wrote a letter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Deputy Director William J. Hoover, demanding that there be no reprisals against the ATF agents testifying in the illegal Operation Fast and Furious; the operation termed "Felony Stupid" by Issa.

Twenty four hours later, Agent Vince Cefalu received notice that the agency wants to terminate him, after thirty years, for an apparent "lack of candor".

Agent Cefalu problems with the ATF go back four years, when he caused ill feelings with the agency by refusing to use illegal wiretaps set up by local law enforcement, a case referred to as "Road Dog".

I threw the locals under the bus. … I became the most vocal critic and they got sick of my s***.

For the last four years, Cefalu has been given jobs with no importance to get him to retire early.

They put me in a cage, paid me full salary, and hoped it would break me down mentally and I would retire.

In May, Cefalu did a three part interview with CNN b Anderson Cooper, concerning problems in the ATF; since then, he has only been given 122 minutes worth of work, not the usual investigative work, he was instructed to change batteries or fill up cars with gasoline.

He has endured seven internal affairs investigations, since he blew the whistle, with an attorney present, he answered every question.

He represents dozens of other officers with grievances against the ATF and if he is terminated or retired early, he thinks the ATF will consider those grievances dead..

Cefalu maintains that there should be prosecutions in the failed Operation Fast and Furious, AKA as Gunwalker.

If SA Cefalu’s resume comes across my desk, he’s hired.

In the Obama administration, they are in-your-face doing effed-up sh*t.

Can you just imagine what would be on the Sunday talk shows today had this been the Bush administration Justice Dept that had done this?

Issa better damn well start ramping up and getting this guy protection and a continued paycheck out of ‘discretionary funds’ until Holder and everyone involved in the firing get sent to prison. Then make him head of Justice..

Yea, I know they can’t. Too bad.

The Obama administration thinks it can get away with just about anything they want to.

They just might be right.

Issa is coming up with a lot of stuff that can be used by the Rep candidates to bring the Marxist/Muslim usurper down-if any of them have the guts.

Like all Lefties, the ATF says the opposite of what it means; “Lack of candor” means “too much candor.”

“lack of candor”.

Translation: didn’t follow the propaganda.

Seems like he’s doing something good here. In my book an person who has been with the ATF 30 years is about as anti-american as they come.

The entire agency should be disbanded and most of the agents should be jailed.

It has nothing to do with the firearms. It has everything to do with the PEOPLE who were making the illegal purchases and the govt traitors who pushed them through.

More like too much candor. I just love that the ATF was walking Barrett .50 cals across the border to the cartels. Felony stupid is too mild a term. Holder needs to go straight to Leavenworth. I hear Terri Lakin’s cell is empty.

You do realize who the big dog is, don't you? It is not credible that an attorney general is dumping guns into Mexico and the POTUS does't know about it.

This is OBAMA's WATERGATE, from authorizing to cover up.

It is up to WE THE PEOPLE to hound the press and make them report it. Even they know Obama is behind this criminal enterprise.

In the twisted world of the left, lacking candor means he didn’t follow the propaganda line, also means that he wasn’t willing to lie for them.
It’s the same thing as their ‘most transparent administration’ which went along with ‘most ethical congress’ ever.
And people fall for their crap, which is amazing.

"In my book an person who has been with the ATF 30 years is about as anti-american as they come."

On balance I agree with you, and certainly the ATFE is among the worst of the lot. Having said that, I spent 10 years on active duty as a Military Police officer and was on of the legion of 'quitting captains' under Clinton. A lot of my peers went into the FBI, DEA, USMS, ATF, etc., and went there with a sense of idealism and nothing but the best of intentions. While the abuses of these agencies are documented and inexcusable, there are at least a handful of good folks in their ranks.
