I’m afraid it was pretty straight forward. Defunding was the only hammer they had to reign in Obama’s war by fiat, and they dismantled their own relevance to the Constitutional war powers vested solely in the House of Representatives. Stunning, and without excuse.

What has happened to our representation in DC? The House?
Unbelievable.

Big Ouch to Bachman and West. War at any time, any place for any reason at all set by a president, speaks poorly to reality in this present age.

This bill would have authorized everything Obama has the military is doing in Libya except drop bombs. It would have given him the rubber stamp to continue supporting NATO dropping bombs and legitimized the whole thing.
