Last week the economy tanked. Weekend talk shows were filled with everyone, including democrats, admitting that a 9.1 percent unemployment rate was anything from a major shortcoming to a huge crisis for the Obama administration.
Over the weekend, Obama was on the ropes. Many commentators clearly stated that the economy was not advancing because of uncertain taxes, over-regulation, deadly high gas prices, and the prospect of heavily burdensome health requirements in the near future. Obama's insistence a few weeks back that taxes had to go up had created no confidence anyplace. Pundits were shaking their heads in disbelief. The chickens were coming home to roost.
Has sexual predator, Rep. Anthony Weiner, actually, temporarily saved Obama by taking the economy off the front page? Forcing lewd pics on women not welcoming the attention is sexual harrassment. It is clear that the attention was not welcomed by those women so far heard from. Serial problems with such behavior would be called predation were it John Q. Citizen doing the same thing in your local community.
There is no doubt that sexual harrassment is illegal. Will Weiner be prosecuted? Will this scandal play out for months in the way that the Clinton saga did?
Probably not. I don't really care about Rep. Weiner...other than that he's another exhibit proving that term limits are a good idea.
Should the illegality be prosecuted? I think it should, but the spin machine is already in gear calling Weiner's behavior "between him and his wife." Laughable. Aren't we forgetting the women complaining about the predations of the congressman?
In the meantime, though, Weiner has wagged the dog and taken the economy off the front page.

Stupid, stupid brain dead idiots running this country while over 50% vote them in assuring us of continuing nightmares. Coupled with that we have spineless RINOs running as fast as they can kissing the Kenyan’s arse.
Really. It’s amazing that Obama has done this much damage in such a short time!

Even Jews are recognizing Obama’s disregard for Israel. It’s almost open season on things Jewish. Who knows? Maybe the deal is a Weiner to be sacrificed after a long dramatic unveiling and unraveling.
Anyone who missed that the economy is in the crapper because the Weiner scandal was covered over the weekend doesn’t have a functioning brain cell to his name.
yah, well Austin Goolsbee just put the economy right back on the front page with the announcement of his immediate departure from Premier Hussein’s Regime.
I doubt this will be welcomed with any joy on Wall Street, or any other market around the world, because his departure is the ultimate denouncement of the Obammy economy, along with all the things to come.

Most of us can laugh our asses off at this loathesome creep and still be pissed Urkel’s destruction. We’ve learned how to multi-task.
Don’t worry, the bad economy is going to come back into the news, I still hear bad economic news along with the top Weiner story, which makes me think this is orchestrated. Why? It’s to blame the Republicans again. They’re showing that without raising the debt ceiling, that the country is going to hell, so that’s how it will play out. That’s why the bad news is being “allowed.” Mark my words. It’ll be election fodder.
