The President of the United States will celebrate American prose and poetry at the White House next week by honoring, among others, a poet known for his cop-killing, racially-charged, misogynistic works.
At an event dedicated to poetry’s influence on American culture, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., who goes by the name “Common,” will be one of the guests of President and Mrs. Obama. Elizabeth Alexander, Billy Collins, Rita Dove, Kenneth Goldsmith, Alison Knowles, and Aimee Mann are scheduled to perform, along with Jill Scott, who opposes interracial relationships, which she blames on “Massa,” and “enslavement of my people.”
The New Hampshire Journal reports that Common is a devoted follower of Jeremiah “America’s chickens are coming home to roost” Wright, of whom he says:
“What I picked up from the pews…was [sic] messages of love,” Common said at the time.“Anything that was going on against that love he would acknowledge and expose. He’s been a preacher that’s helped raise one of the greatest political figures in the world,(Obama) and…one of the greatest rappers in the world.” (Himself)
In another YouTube video, he raps, “Flyer say Free Mumia on my freezer.” Mumia Abu-Jamal, a member of the New Black Panther Party, is in prison for the 1981 murder of a Philadelphia police officer.
No word yet as to whether Common, who named his daughter after Assata Shakur, a Black Panther who was convicted of first-degree murder 1977, will perform. His language is beneath the Office of the Presidency, even if it is not beneath Barack Obama.
What a ridiculous world we live in, where “cop-killing” and “misogynistic” are in the same sentence, implying some kind of parity.
Well...that should get him the police officer vote....NOT.

the police officer union will demand their members vote for bambi because, like all union “leaders”, they care more about power and screwing America than supporting their members.
Fitting. The Gangsta-in-Chief honoring other thugs and hoods. Wonder how much of our tax dollars will be going to this event.
Ideally, law enforcement folks would take it on themselves to opine, and NOT go through the dirty unions.
