Are the American people losing faith in the U.S. economy? The statistics that you are about to read might surprise you. Not everyone believes that the U.S. economy is dying (there are still millions out there that will swallow anything that the mainstream media tells them), but the reality is that there is a growing chunk of the population that has completely lost faith in our leaders and in our economic system. A brand new Gallup poll has found that the number of Americans that believe that we are in a "depression" is actually larger than the number of Americans that believe that the economy is "growing".

The writting on the wall is plain to see! We are heading (or being driven, depending on your view) toward a economic collapse much like that of Argentinas only MUCH bigger:

You need to remember that as a armed society and one which contains a much more violent crimial and entitlement minded element our collapse is much more likely to be much more violent than Argentinas was/is. I see evidence in the daily news that in many big blue cities you can expect what I call Pocket pogroms will be carried out and if you arent Amish you better be ready to get out and quick!
For more information on living in a collapse economy I strongly suggest that you read Ferfals blog SURVIVING IN ARGENTINA: http://ferfal.blogspot.com

I see a pattern here.
Carter x 10 = B Hussein Obama
Here’s the “stability”....you have a weak dollar created on purpose which makes American products cheap. Sadly, the cheap dollar works against us on oil, so we watch everything we buy increase in cost, and our gasoline cost at the pump increases weekly. We keep folks employed in factories and at least pretend to be happy that companies aren’t going under as they were twelve months ago.
But then our housing market in AZ, California, and Florida....continues to be marginal. Banks? Same number or trend of banks failing...as last year. Don’t worry if CNN doesn’t tell you...go over and read the Wall Street Journal.
The only reason we aren’t in a four-star depression? The cheap dollar. But’s strangling us anyway, and just going to make this low period last twice to triple the normal length of time. And those silly Chinese could figure out this mess any second....and with the Saudis help....trash the dollar completely and just watch us fall to the curb.
If this Progressive governemtnt doesn’t put one in a depression, nothing will! But then, that’s the goal, isn’t it? Hopeless change!
” 29 Percent of Americans Say 2011 Economy in Depression “
That leaves 71% either ignorant, or in denial...
From the number of people I meet who are impatient, intolerant, short-tempered, or even angry about all kinds of things, economic or otherwise, - or nothing in particular - and can’t tell ya why, I’d say that ‘denial’ is the dominant theme.....
The significant take-away is that there are a LOT of angry people out there, and we just don’t know where is the last straw that’s going to trip ‘em over the edge...
If ya haven’t started preparing by now, ya just might find you’ve waited too long....
It will be interesting when people figure out the GDP is a bubble propped up with government borrowing and spending.
I wonder if that’s the real reason the House GOP wants to raise the debt ceiling. They might see no way out of it without the bubble bursting and they don’t want to be blamed when it happens, so they try to push it off as long as possible. But it will happen some day.
No, American non government workers are losing faith in the U.S. economy.
That blog, supposedly about surving in Argentina by someone with the handle of “ferfal” left me wondering whether the man is capable of presenting material in a focused, logical manner. I got absolutely nothing from it, Kartographer.
Here’s three items from his blog that other FReepers found to be very interesting and informative.

What I'm seeing is people know prices are going up and jobs are scarce but they haven't thought much past that point. Some are saying that prepping might be a good idea, but again, that's as far as they go. I was waiting for the Easter holidays to stock up on canned tuna but it wasn't on sale this year here. I've noticed for about a year now that the normal annual sales just aren't happening. That's a red flag. Also, the grocery sales aren't really sales but a mark between last week's price and the new increased price for the next week. Of course, many people who live paycheck to paycheck and can't squeeze out any extra money to prep. I know, it's hard for us but I try to throw a few extra foodstuffs in the cart. There is one off brand of vegetables that are still 50 cents a can but the other day they only had 3 green beans, a dozen corn, and no peas which is very worrisome.
