I guess when he talked about college scholarships he meant college scholarships for foreigners to study in American universities, like his father got—otherwise Obama would never have been born. Of course, he could mean a college scholarship for foreign students at Occidental...without something like that he might have ended up living permanently in Indonesia or some other country...one more to his liking.

Yeh I think raising taxes in a depression is absolutely the way to get votes. Thats the ticket.
We have as a matter of policy so arranged things that our military can fight 2-1/2 wars at any given time. (for example Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya)

As much as listening to Skippy makes me yearn for getting a root canal or IRS audit instead, I feel I have no choice. He’s really not smart enough NOT to tip his hand, if you listen carefully he’ll always tell you what he really has in mind.
This speech today shows he sees himself as some sort of benevolent dictator, who’s bound and determined to impose his “vision” of America on the little people, whether we want it or not. He actually said that Americans wanted a more “progressive” country toward the end, which for me, only raises a big red flag with a sickle and hammer in the center.
Out of one side of his mouth came the plea to transcend politics and work together for the good of the country, and out of the other came the demonization of the Ryan plan, an attack on those who have successfully created wealth, completely false mis-characterizations of Republicans and Conservatives, and the rather insulting claim that hard working, tax paying Americans, who have had NOTHING to do with creating this mess, should be the ones to suck it up and sacrifice to keep the elite in their positions of power. Starting with his reelection.
I’ve got an idea. Let’s modify the laws to hold Congress and the Executive Branch personally responsible for the economic havoc they create, and sue their elite asses. I for one am really tired of paying the ever increasing bills for their vote peddling, pandering, and cushy lifestyles.
Skippy has no concept of basic economics. He thinks that the rich got that way through divine providence, and are just fortunate. Further, he thinks that redistribution of wealth from the productive to the non-productive is just great - because the growing population the beneficiaries of this forced largess will always vote for him.
We are not masters of our own destinies as long as our self-created wealth gets intercepted before we even see it, and we’re only allowed to keep what fruits of our labors that our masters deem appropriate.
And now these same clowns demand we sacrifice and pay for their abuses and runaway spending. There will never be enough wealth to satisfy the appetite of this beast from DC.
A truly stupid person is someone whose theories and actions have been thoroughly discredited but still clings to them like a little kid to his blankie. Obama is that person. No matter how much his Marxists ideas are disproven, he still plows ahead with his utterly foolish, disastrous plans. Nothing can dissuade him. So must be ejected through the ballot box in 2012, or we’ll see further huge declines.
