Sorry, but the article makes plenty of assumptions and bases its chain of logic on them to try to reach a certain conclusion.

Welcome to just about every birther thread.

It was surreal listening to the caller—she obviously believed what she was saying about how unfair the media was to Obama. She might as well be living on another planet.

Yah. That was why I put “steve” in quotation marks. Sort of an inside joke to myself. Didn’t think anyone would get it, papa. I might have known you would, oh wise one. (Deep curtsey.)

Why gratuitously insult satan? I have enough problems.

Looks more like FMD than BHO. Especially around the nose and the mouth.

THE ONE THING I AM SURE OF IS THAT FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS WASN'T HIS FATHER...AND FRANKS' SON, MARK IS THE SPITTING IMAGE OF THE CHINLESS WONDER NAMED FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS

Mark certainly does look more like him than Steve does.

The mistake has always been to make the comparison based upon just ONE image of FMD. It's the profile that shows more:

It’s always the one photo, because it’s the only photo that shows any resemblance. To be honest, he looks more like Jimi Hendrix or Malcolm X than BHO or FMD. I’m mostly drawing my conclusion from “Sex Rebel”, the Stanley Anne nudes in FMD’s crib and the alleged BarrySteve poem “Pop”.

The only thing I know for sure is that fewer than a handful of people know who the president really is and where he comes from.

While in Mombassa, she telephoned her mother Madelyn Dunham, who filed some sort of birth fililng, which contained the name “Steve Dunham.”

I don't know who wrote this kind of stuff, like you just make a telephone from AFRICA like it was done from a today's cellphone!

From Africa in 1961, I guess there were a very limit accesses to any telephone, even less chances of faxing, LOL!!

That said, I just recall when I lived in Spain (Costa del Sol) 1975 a more advanced tech country than Africa, it was a pain in the neck to make a phone call to outside Spain. You had to go to the telephone company's local office and stay an hour at least in long line to be able to make a scraggly phone call with repeating sentences over and over, hello!!!

Anyone thinking the goat herder Obama family had phones, ...oh please give me a break, ROTLMSO???

Telegraph, or ... by wire, works. In that part of the world (in that era) communicating in this fashion was still the least expensive and viable way to send a message internationally.

The whole Obama-was-born-in-Mombassa-and-was-taken-to-the US-ASAP is a VERY dicey proposition but it has been analyzed and worked out in detail by people much better at it than I and the conclusion was that while theoretically possible, the logistics would have been EXTREMELY hard.

As for the phones, once “El Generalísimo” passed into history in that same year of 1975, Spain stopped being a backwater and began to enter the 20th Century. Phone service presumably caught up with the rest of Europe as did other aspects of the country.

Mombassa surely had telegram service...communicating with Honolulu would not have been impossible. Just slow and awkward, probably.

The whole Obama-Dunham clan was extremely unusual and even freakish by 1961 standards. Communist family with beatnik daughter taking up with African radical student-—anybody that strange wouldn’t find some complicated travel and/or communications arrangement all that crazy.
