Time Magazine Editor: Burning the Koran is Worse than Burning the Bible

WORLD EDITOR DISPLAYS HIS IGNORANCE OF CHRISTIANITY -

According to Time Magazine editor Bobby Ghosh, burning the Koran is “much more inflammatory than burning a Bible” because the Koran comes directly from God and the Bible doesn’t.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Hardball, (where else?) Ghosh continued to display his ignorance of Christianity:

“The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. It’s the story of Jesus.”

“If you’re a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, it is directly the word of God.” (Transcribed by whom, Mr. Ghosh?)

“That makes it sacred in a way that’s hard to understand if you’re not Muslim. So the act of burning a Koran is much more — potentially much, much more inflammatory than if you were to burn a Bible. You are directly attacking God.”

So did the Rat miss something as a young lad in Sunday School? He was led to believe that the Bible was the “Word of God.” Come to think of it, he’s still being led to believe that the Bible is the Word of God.

Is Time’s world editor that ignorant of Christianity, or is he something worse? Many of the left-wing loons who preach tolerance and understanding of all things Islam aren’t quite so tolerant and understanding of anything Christian. Public schools are prohibited from allowing silent prayer, while many of them offer Muslim courses to promote acceptance and amity of Islam.

Does this means that Ghosh believes the savage murder of innocent people in response to the burning of a Koran is a normal reaction by Muslims? I hope not. Does he believe that the “superiority” of the Koran in respect to the “Word of God,” might just give Muslims a tad bit more justification in their brutal acts of retribution than would be the case for Christians? It sure sounds like it.

While pastor Terry Jones certainly has the right to burn whatever he wishes to burn – including the Bible, and the American flag for that matter – he’s guilty of confusing “the right” to give followers of the “peaceful” religion an excuse to murder innocents with the RESPONSIBILITY not to do so. Terry Jones has blood on his hands as well.

The Rat wonders how Pakistan could condemn the intolerance of the pastor on one hand while sentencing a Christian woman to death on the other. Rat will have to look that up in the Koran.

Doesn’t it depend on which one results in more carbon being released into the atmosphere?

And doesn’t that depend on which version is burned?

And therefore isn’t it impossible to say which is worse?

(i.e., how the left sees book burnings if they’re being honest)

...actually, our local radio guy here in Houston put it best when commenting on the killings in Afghanistan.

He said that we are presently bombing the crap out of three Islamic countries (actually 4, if you count the drones that keep hitting inside Pakistan), and we’re supposed to believe that the burning of a little book is why they’re mad at us over there.

Coming to a headline near you soon!

Voters' rejection of Muslim candidates angers Muslims worldwide
Street Violence Kills Hundreds Worldwide
"The American voters are to blame," say Washington pundits.

It's just a question of time.. this is how Islamists plan to win -- with a little help.

Our book is better than your book!

Danger is the First Amendment rights we enjoy should be limited based on how others react. The South Park guys edited their TV show after threats. Then went on to do a show on Broadway insulting Mormons. Some hurt feelings are more equal than others.

What about burning TIME magazine. I think the net knowledge of the world would go up after such an event.

Bobby Ghosh is a Muzlim. Time put a guy in charge as editor who is not only a Muzlim, but he isn’t even an American, he’s Indian. And he was one of Saddam Hussein’s favored journalists. More fifth column stuff here. Time is no longer an American publication, it is now, officially, a Muzlim propaganda organ.

And there my friends is the intellectual Liberal mind in a nutshell.

Bobby Ghosh, Christ died for your sins. What has Mohammed done for you lately?

As an atheist, I don’t really understand holding reverence for holy (at least in the mind of its adherents) scripture...what matters to me vis-à-vis Christianity and Islam is how their respective believers act. While any religion can have its individual nutcases, the sort of behavior we’ve seen from Muslims in reaction to a copy of the Qu’ran being burnt 8,000 miles away seems to be inherent in Islam in a way it isn’t in Christianity.

Then there’s the small matter of how societies dominated by each of these religions treat public expressions of atheism. I suspect that freely expressing my viewpoint on religious matters wouldn’t be very good for my health in Iran, Afghanistan, or any number of other Muslim-dominated countries.

Why doesn’t this odious swine come right out with it: burning a koran is far worse than burning Christians?

Perhaps Colorado's Ann Barnhardt (great video) notifies Lindsey Graham that she is "apparently one of the very, very last people left in Western Civilization who possesses any quantity of brains and balls simultaneously " No need for popcorn . . .this video is fully satisfying.

Sure it’s much worse, because if you burn a Koran you will get your head cut off, stupid.
