At least three White House advisers and officials, including President Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, have ties to an effort funded by billionaire George Soros to push for a new, "progressive" U.S. Constitution
WND first reported last week that Sunstein's wife, Samantha Power, has been a champion of a Soros-funded doctrine, entitled "responsibility to protect," which was used by Obama to justify engaging in an international military alliance to bomb Libya. As the National Security Council special adviser to Obama on human rights, Power reportedly influenced Obama in his decision.
Now it has emerged that Sunstein has maintained extensive ties to Soros' funding, particularly with regard to a movement that openly seeks to create a "progressive" consensus as to what the U.S. Constitution should provide for by the year 2020.
Also, Attorney General Eric Holder sat on the board of a Soros-funded group pushing the same "progressive" constitution.
WND has learned that in April 2005, Sunstein opened up a conference at Yale Law School entitled, "The Constitution in 2020," which sought to change the nature and interpretation of the Constitution by that year.
That event was sponsored by Soros' Open Society Institute as well as by the Center for American Progress, which is led by John Podesta, who served as co-chair of Obama's presidential transition team. Podesta's Center is said to be highly influential in helping to craft White House policy.

Quickly.
Get over it, cracker-monkeys.
MY people (Soros, nonAmericans, al Qaeda) now rule.
No matter what they say, the Constitution will still be there.
Courts can make all the silly, contradictory decisions they want; the fact is that our representatives swear to support the Constitution and not what some moonbat judges say about the Constitution.
He did immigrate from England to America about 1963 and became a citizen in 1968, unfortunately he is legally here.
..Soros is spending $50 million to rally 200 academic, business and government policy leaders to explore "establishing new international rules" and "reform the currency system." (April 8 meeting)
..What Soros wants to accomplish is to move along the globalist agenda of replacing the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency, with the goal of diminishing the ability of the United States to set the terms for the global economy," Corsi explained.

The joint U.S. and international air strikes targeting Libya are widely regarded as a test of Responsibility to Protect a set of principles, now backed by the United Nations, based on the idea that sovereignty is not a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked if a country is accused of "war crimes," "genocide," "crimes against humanity"
...Soros is also a primary funder and key proponent of the global organization that promotes the military doctrine "Responsibility to Protect," cited by the White House as allowing the use of force to attack Gadhafi's forces. UN for us global affairs.
“progressive” constitution is nothing more than wing it as you go rules change by the hour highest bidder gets to call the shots.
Sounds like Mexico to me and it’s the last thing we need.
I am shocked! SHOCKED, I say!
As I see it, George Soros, an enemy of the United States, needs to be stopped.
By any means necessary, IMO.
Sadly, I doubt it. I honestly doubt it.
Not sure our congressman care anything for their oath to the constitution.
We've not declared war since 1944, yet America has been involved in multiple wars.
Our borders remain wide open despite a constitutional mandate to secure the borders.
We may possibly have a foreign born person sitting in the White house, yet congress and judicial branch refuse to investigate.
Not to mention the multitude of federal bureaucracies that have zero constitutional subscription nor mandate to even exist.
You're exactly on point. When politicians and judges aren't actively ignoring the Constitution, they're distorting it to find "meanings" the Founders never intended. Sunstein's project sounds like a rehash of the Communist Manifesto.
Things would go sideways for them if they touch the Constitution.
Are you kidding? How about securing the border? There is nothing, absolutely nothing, in the Constitution about federal involvement in Education.
They do anything they want to do, neglect anything want to neglect, using lawyer rationalizations - that's why Cass Sunstein and Elena Kagan and Barack Obama and Eric Holder and etc.
The political path and fate of the United States is a question of personal values, far deeper than the verbiage of the US Constitution. Lawyers demonstrate this everyday - it's called rationalization, or bigotry.

I’d chip in some lead.
