Scott Brown Leading in Early Polling
Pundit Press ^ | 3/15/2011 | Thomas Ferdousi

Republican Scott Brown shocked the political world early last year with his victory over Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley. Brown is still well-regarded in the heavily blue state but his re-election prospects appeared to be in some doubt. Brown is still one of the only major Republican officials in the state.

Now it appears that Brown's chances of a full term are increasing. The Democratic Party appears to have no first-line candidates to challenge him, and he carries the power of incumbency. Not only that, but most voters appear to have accepted a Republican Senator from Massachusetts.

A poll was recently conducted by Western New England College to see Brown's potential electability for next year. The early results look good.

He is as good as any other Democrat.

He’s about as conservative as the people of Massachussets will allow at this point in their history.

He is a McCain/Lindsay Graham type RINO. The Dems will not run anyone against him because he is one of them like MCCain is.

What? no more Kennedys that aren't presently incarcerated, inebriated, inarticulate or interred that they could run?

Senator Sodomites in the Services. Hopefully Cornyn won’t send him money and focus on Red state Dems.

I’d rather have Brown than a Kennedy.

And and R-majority, no matter if some are R-RINO’s, give us control of committees.

The first conservative arising from the Commonwealth
will put the RINO- and deceiver-Scott Brown smack
back into his brothel along with his blood-brothers,
RINO Mitt Romney and Harry Reid.

A _Massachusetts_ Republican. GOP officeholders are rare in Bay State though Ed Brooke served a couple terms in US Senate and when Dukakis left office there were 4 GOP govs in a row:
Weld, Cellucci, Swift (acting) and Romney none of whom were hardcore conservatives. Romney chose to not run for second term but prob would have lost to Patrick anyway but who knows

Big government, union workers, Kennedy-worshipping, big teachers’ unions and hacks; with the voters in MA it’s a miracle any Republican can get elected

In other news, Dean Heller (U.S. Rep.-R) has formally announced he will run for the Nevada U.S. Senate seat.

I hope he loses - better to have a CommieCrate than a RINO, pure and simple.
At least a ComieCrate wears the uniform of the enemy, instead of a RINO who brings destruction and confusion to Conservative forces,.

Death to all RINOs (politically speaking, of course) WITHOUT EXCEPTION!

Agreed. A chink in the rusty armor of the deplorable state run by the Kennedy’s.

I almost hope he loses. We wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

He is a McCain/Lindsay Graham type RINO. The Dems will not run anyone against him because he is one of them like MCCain is.

The difference being that McCain is a liberal in Arizona, Graham is a liberal in South Carolina, and Brown is a relative conservative in Mass.

I say we work on replacing the RINOs in states where we have a chance of getting a conservative elected, before hitting Brown.

Scott Brown is as good as we are going to get in Massachusetts. He is an talented and attractive candidate that gets extra votes for the GOP. Yes, he will be an infuriating RINO, but it is far far better than the veritable Communist that the Dems would have gotten in, and kept in, forever.

If we had the likes of Scott Brown to run, the GOP could have won Senate seats in CA, WA, NV, DE, etc.

There’s chatter that Coupe Deval might just challenge him. An Obama clone with a nicer demeanor.

A second term in 2012?

It's still going to depend on who runs against him. Right now the lack of a significant opponent looks promising but that could change.

Since when was being inarticulate or inebriated a barrier to a Kennedy candidacy?

Weld wsa the worst. He was pro-gay, pro-gay marriage, anti-family from day one. We was also an alocholic who served up drinks with the staff during daytime hours. He also failed to add any Republicans to the state legislature, but that seemed to be the problem with all the Republican governors.
