Had one bad experience in about 700. Ordered a CD and never received it.
Filed a complaint with Square Trade and received my money back and an apology within a few days.
You wisenheimers are welcome to stay off my thread.
Bought a Dutch Auction on Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones.
New these are $300 each, the Dutch Auction stated he had 20 for sale. The winner gets to buy ‘x’ at his price, then the next guy buys ‘y’ at his price - and down the line.
I used PayPal (HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO THIS) and paid $180 for mine. The guy was a scammer - who had a 2 year record of actually selling slot-car tracks and cars to collectors. Over 2,000 sales with a 97% rating.
I guess he wanted a big haul.
I got my money back (thanks, PayPal) and got email from Paypal stating this man’s trial date, charges (interstate mail fraud, ect) and a phone number to call with a case number - so I could see what he got.
He got 7 years on 3 different Felony convictions, I got my money back - and a lot of faith in Paypal. The only down-side was that it took almost 3 weeks for me to get my money back. PayPal allows the Seller time to respond, before they intercede - then the actions are swift and harsh.
I have no complaints. I got my cash, and this jerk is getting some tender loving care from Bubba for the next several years.
I hate PayPal. I always try to make sure I buy stuff from a non-smoking environment. I once got a used computer that was an ash tray. It was horrible.
I’ve had 3 things not show up, 1 reimbursed by the seller and 2 by paypal. Other than that its been good.

He LIED. The tickets arrived did arrive around 8:30 AM. (Usually, I like to get to the course by 8 AM.) Then I had about an hour and a half trip to get to the course. He never gave me anything. (He said I misunderstood "give." He really meant sell.)
But the other half dozen times or so I've used ebay, it has worked just the way it is supposed to.

Out of thousands (3200) of auctions I only had two bad ones.One was actually Fed Ex’s fault as they lost it but I recieved it a month later.The other was a $5.00 pair of motorcycle gloves that the guy sent the wrong size and wouldnt correct it.
I even bought a 96 porsche 350 miles from my house unseen and it was a great deal.
Yesterday I finally got a package which the Jacksonville Florida post office liked so much they sat on it for 9 days, looks like I'm going to have 2 in a row.
I registered on Ebay in 2004, good luck until lately, maybe it's just a passing spell.
I'm pround of my 100% feedback, buying and selling, but some people just don't care. You have to sort them out.
I’ve had a number of problems. Packages arriving split open without mdse, packages just not arriving. New items that are clearly used.
As a seller I’ve had none paying buyers who become irritated.
Some get solved and some do not.
Worst was buying a pricy old item from China. What arrived was a pile of junk. Ebay did not help at all. Early eBay was harder to deal with.
I now run everything through PayPal linked to my credit card. The credit card company just yanks the money back from a bad seller. eBay dithers.
All my experiences have been terrible. three so far.
It never works. The seller, no matter how good the rating never sends it, and each time I had to get money back from Paypal.
Problem is that whole process takes about 6 weeks total.
So basically I will never use this POS site ever again, and I can firmly state that buying on something on ebay accomplishes is locking up money for 6 weeks.

When I purchased the item from the seller, he had a 100% positive feedback, albeit for less than 30 transactions. And numerous times before and after that transaction , I used non ebay checkout systems with no problems whatsoever.
My biggest mistake was in e mailing the ^&*$#% a few times : I should have filed a complaint with ebay immediately. But I thought his re charging of my card a month after the sale and the initial debiting was a mistake. It was a while before I looked at his current auctions and discovered he now had numerous negs against him, and in fact he was suspended not long after.
Incidentally, it looks like ebay is going to ban non ebay checkout systems by June , so this thing won't happen to anyone else.
I have been on ebay since 1999. I have a100% positive feedback for about 3000 transactions. I used to sell, but no longer; now I just buy (too damn much! :-) )

I ordered some Converse hi tops.
When they arrived they were from a Korean address and were obviously fake knock offs.
I complained to EBay or Paypal, I forget which. They had already shut the guy down. My money was refunded.
