The rumblings around the political community seem to be that Newt Gingrich is thinking about running for President. Apparently the scuttlebutt is that he is likely to announce an exploratory committee within the next several weeks. He's certainly well-known enough to get attention-- so do you think he should run for President?

No. Completely setting aside his other weaknesses, the people of the United States are never going to elect a man who sounds like a woman. His body chemistry is not his fault, but the fact remains that his female voice will doom him.

No!

Sorry Newt, but two things are burned into my memory:

1) You sitting on that couch with Nancy Pelosi pushing the myth of AGM

2) Amnesty for Illegals

Sorry Newt, I will never, ever vote for you, Romney, Jeb, or Daniels! You’re all nothing but a bunch of squishy RINOs!

Doesn't matter whether he runs or not.

He'll get the same number of votes either way.

Gingrich knows he can’t win.

This is nothing more than Gingich trying to keep his name out there so he can charge top dollar for speeches, sell books and continue being Sean Hannities Good buddy. He is not revelant to what’s going on today in the GOP or Tea Party.

Nothing more.

I say YES. A) Get it over with already. B) His presense in the debates would elevate the discussion.

Yes. Not because he would be a great President - but because he’s probably the only semi-conservative that can beat Obama. I would like to see Ron Paul win, but I do not believe he can get the votes necessary. Mitt blows with the wind. The Donald could put on a good show, but his style will scare the average voting moron. I fear Obama getting re-elected by default, with conservatives splitting thier own vote.

NO ONE, I REPEAT, NO ONE who has held elective Federal Office is permissible.

Our next President will be one who has fought for fiscal responsibility in the States.

PERIOD.

No “forgetting” way.

Newt is a very emotionally needy man, and his personal life has always proven this. He will do what gets him attention or love. He of all the potential candidates for 2012 is the Most Likely to Follow a Thong Panty into the Oval Office anteroom.

He will go along with liberal ideas if he thinks it makes him more popular. He wants to be one of the cool kids. And he will sacrifice anything for a quick Lewinsky.

There is nobody on the stage more articulate on the constitution, the economy, history, and foreign policy.

For all those here who are concerned about his personal life and misguided ad w Pelosi, you’d better take a hard look at alternative’s ability to debate Obama and prevail.
