Breaking Gunwalker Scandal Stops ATF Power Grab
Marktwain | 10 February, 2010 | Marktwain

Senator Grassley of Iowa has not backed down from the breaking ATF scandal. The ATF is reputed to have been involved with the “gunwalking” of hundreds, perhaps thousands of firearms into Mexico through illegal channels. Two of the “gunwalked” rifles are said to have been involved in the death of Border Patrol agent Terry in the gunfight that erupted on the border on December 15th, 2010.

Before the scandal broke, the ATF was pushing for a serious increase in its power and reach through an “emergency” regulation calling for drastically increased record keeping for rifle sales in the border states. As the scandal has gained legs and has started getting traction in the old media, the administration first delayed approval of the “emergency regulation”, then finally killed the idea yesterday, 9 February.

It seems likely that the administration does not want anymore scrutiny of the ATF activities in the Southwest than it already is receiving.

If Mike Vanderboegh of the Sipsey Street Irregulars and David Codrea, the Gun Rights Examiner, do not receive the new media’s version of a Pulitzer prize, they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they stopped this ATF power grab dead in its tracks.

Trying to eliminate the competition much like any other criminal smuggling ring.

I wonder if they were paid in drugs to "walk" back home.

What was the reason in the first place for the ATF to send guns to Mexico?

ATF needs to be shutdown, disbanded, and all their employees barred from any form of federal or state employment in law enforcement. ATF has never been shy about convicting the innocent or ruining innocent people's lives or destroying them financially. Time to destroy ATF with extreme prejudice and seize their government retirements, too. Let the bastards starve on the streets.

To fulfill the lie that Mexico said all the heavy weapons were coming from USA (stop making them available, etc - read GUN CONTROL).

And of course Zero and company bought right into it.

Zero is just making sure that it is happening.

Hey, they actually approved my class 3 license!

That really surprised me, given the current administration.

Of course that means they can tie "guns" to me......

This is outright treason on the part of the ATF, and a parallel to the FBI's Cointelpro which the left claimed that the FBI paid infiltrating agents were the only members of the targeted dissident groups that actually committed crimes.

Let's see how the leftists and MSM speak up now, about paid ATF agents actually running guns so they can accuse others of doing so.

To raise money to support the Contras in Nicaragua?

No, wait... wrong presidential scandal...
