but I’d put a gun and ammo before silver, and especially for gold.
Precious metals and their usage:
Lead/brass/powder = life and preps preservation, barter
Silver - for trade
Gold - wealth preservation “to the other side” of the difficulty
Number 5 isn’t an issue for us except that we’re on the receiving end. We’re where people want to go, not want to leave.
Number one should be *Buy lead*.

Everyone’s situation is different, but I definitely would recommend precious metals in that order.
Lead/brass, silver, gold.
As you get “enough” by your own judgement, move on to the next one. If you can’t afford the silver level, there’s always copper. Pre-1982 pennies are worth 3 cents in FRNs.
Who makes up the Military?

We deserve Obama as president, given all the divorce, porn, and evil among Christians, especially the leaders. God sent destruction to believers in the Old Testament, and will do so to us, if we cling to our guns, rather than repent.

It’s not inevitable. If the Church stops acting like an entertainment center with a collection plate, God would hold china/russia back.
Instead, if we cling to our guns, and pretend the leaders of the USA church are not at fault, then God will use Russia/China, along with leaders like Obama to destroy us.

But that’s from the Old Testament. As I recall that was you usual answer to when I pointed out various Old Testament verse.
I still say: “Better the death of Masada than the death od Dachau.”
I can testify personally to the effectiveness of these. However,I would also not recommend using them for human treatment unless regular medical care was simply not available.
I don’t disagree with your assessment of the condition of the church today, but it has to happen some time. Prophecy WILL be fulfilled and the people who live to see it will wish they hadn’t.
But that can’t be helped.
Personally, I’m getting to the point that I’d just as soon get it over with.

I agree. I often think that maybe the military and even Iraq and Afghanistan was to get the men out of the country, the rest distracted while the home is fleeced and the farm taken. Like when Odysseus returned to Greece.

Good for partial collapse. Not so good for total collapse. For TEOTWAWKI you would be better off with pints and half-pints of whiskey and .22 ammo.

I recomment Springfield XD .45, AR15 and AR10, and Mossberg 930 SPX.

Minimum 10,000 rounds for each rifle, 5000 rounds for each shotgun and 1000 rounds for each pistol.

Make that a couple of years worth at a minimum.

Even better, move to a semi-rural area with neighbors close enough to form a survival community. Buy enough land to grow food and have a working water well with optional hand pump.
You can pick-up a AK 74 (with a nodak spud receiver not a Century) and two thousand rounds of ammo for just over $600.00. AK 74 is reliable, light and can easily be used by anyone because of its low recoil rounds.
