Corn belongs on the dinner plate, not in the gas tank.

America’s food and energy policies are severely twisted. How else can you explain the fact that America refuses to mine its own energy sources, choosing instead to import most of our oil, while arguing that to meet our needs for something to power our cars and trucks, we ought instead to simply use a food staple used the world over?

One more thing the Pubbies have to do. Ban any subsidy for any Envio-Wacko Subsidy.

State and Federal grab taxes on each gallon and if you have to buy more gas it is more money for them to spend stupidly or funnel into communist policies to destroy us.

Elections have consequences. We have to take it back and smart up the education system in Constitutional Study before the upcoming generation chooses socialism or we get it due to voter apathy. We have 10 years at best to enlighten our liberal brainwashed youth.

The Romans kept the masses busy with celebrations and the Circus while everything deteriorated.

They are keeping us busy tweeting, American Idol, Who Can’t Dance, Game Systems, the NFL and the NBA so they can pull the wool over everybody’s eyes before they drop dirt on us so the select illuminati Liberals get everything.

Anyone not complying will either be a slave, and sex slavery is not out of the question/reference: Islam, or be dead.

Now that this additive is going to be increased in gasoline I wonder how my lawn mower will take it. Or my neighbors gas chain saw and his other gas equipment will hold up.

Hope my old van conversion will be OK. Understand that the engine will have problems without expensive modifications. Anyone heard about this problem?

Yep. We are a crony-capitalist nation. Special interests, banks, and the elected elite look out for themselves first and the people second.

Our founding fathers warned us that this would happen and we the people pay them no attention.

Agree We have 10 years at best to enlighten our liberal brainwashed youth.
Time to take away the toys and let them know what work is and how to earn things and learn to think and question everything and just not follow the leader.

In South Dakota where corn ethanol is almost a religion, the state vehicle fleet was converted to flex fuel vehicles and exclusively used E85, an 85% ethanol gasoline blend. The state has now discontinued using E85, after an analysis of cost data showed that using E85 was 25% MORE expensive per mile despite E85 being on average 23 cents per gallon less expensive than gasoline. Note this lower price is exclusively due to massive subsidies and tax breaks.

It is a matter of simple physics. Any given quantity of ethanol produces about 40% less energy than the same quantity of gasoline. Any ethanol/gasoline blend thus has LESS energy than the same quantity of gasoline. The result is lower gas mileage.
