No Forgiveness for John Edwards
The National Enquirer reports that when John Edwards realized that the end was near he begged his betrayed wife for forgiveness, but Elizabeth refused to relent.
On her deathbed, a hurt, angry Elizabeth screamed at John, saying You ruined my life Ill NEVER forgive you!
Reports say that John Edwards repeatedly broke down in tears, and actually doubled over with grief at Elizabeths bedside. But she showed John no remorse. Nothing he said could change Elizabeths mind.
The only concession Elizabeth was willing to grant her cheating husband was to pray with him that God would give him the strength to protect and raise their two young children, Jack and Emma Claire, after she was gone.
Cutting John Edwards Out of Her Will
Not only did Elizabeth refuse to forgive John as she neared death, she informed John that shed changed her will to cut him off from part of their $53 million fortune if he married his mistress, Rielle Hunter, after she died.
As she lay dying, Elizabeth Edwards also unleashed her anger at Rielle Hunter for destroying her marriage and ruining the bright political future John Edwards had.
According to reports. Elizabeth also had a few choice words for Rielle before she died, screaming to John that Rielle . will 'rot in hell!
A source close to the Edwards family reported that when it finally dawned on John that the end was near for Elizabeth, and that she would never forgive him, he collapsed.
No doubt John realized that the stress of dealing with his infidelity, and the bitterness and rage she felt about his betrayal served to hasten Elizabeth Edwards death.
The animosity Elizabeth harbored for his mistress, Rielle Hunter, was probably a contributing factor , as well.
Elizabeth Edwards' deathbed words will probably haunt John Edwards for the rest of his life.
That’s their story. You believe it?
Odd. In her last public statement, God was strangely absent from her message.
"The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered," she wrote. "We know that. And yes, there are certainly times when we aren't able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It's called being human. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful."
and
"I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope," she writes. "These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined. The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that."(from her facebook page)
You know, though she was as grasping as him in her own way...I hope this story is true.
Has John booked the Dave Matthews Band yet?
I don't believe that for a minute.
John Boy is a King of Torts type trial lawyer.
With the Obama regime in power, John has basically unlimited income potential.
“Elizabeth Edwards’ deathbed words will probably haunt John Edwards for the rest of his life.
Yeah, but...her deathbed actions may haunt her for an eternity. “
You are absolutely right....especially if she has ever prayed the “Our Father.”
....(as we forgive those who tresspass against us....)
I really doubt John “ruined” her life as much as cancer did and I serious doubt John cared whether she forgave him. If he cared at all, it was about getting cut out of the will, which may not mean much either depending on North Carolina inheritance laws.
In reality, Elizabeth had no power to hurt John and John knew this which is why he had the affair to begin with. NEVER confuse Democrats with human emotions. All a Democrat ever sees is political opportunism not genuine grief or sorrow. John lived his life for the power and his wife and children were merely props.
I bet Edwards never marries Rielle Hunter and not just because of Elizabeth’s will. ‘Silky Pony’ got reeled in. Not that he didn’t deserve it, but likely she got pregnant for whatever money she could get out of it. I bet he is sorry now, but it is too late.
Did he mean it when he apologized or was he just in it for the money? He did make her life a living nightmare.
$ 53 million can buy a new girl friend ... or three ...
Yep. Some wise fellow once said, "...and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..."
I doubt it
Poor Elizabeth...if she can’t forgive...The Father can’t forgive her either.
i don’t believe it either. especially the part about her changing her will to leave him out of $53m if he married his mistress. i think he is probably entitled to a say in their joint fortune and she wouldn’t have the power to soley change HER will for JOINT assets. Any SC lawyers want to chime in?
24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
God have mercy on Elizabeth Edwards if your post is true.
I dont think there are any good people in this story.

Really hard for me to lump Elizabeth in with the likes of Jonny and Rielle.
“Sounds like she died bitter and angry”
Probably lived that way; libs are like that.
