Congress does not need to meet 12 months out of the year. They should go home for November and December and not come back until February. That would solve the whole Lame Duck problem. The less time they spend in Washington the less trouble they can make. I wonder what needs to be done to accomplish this?
Probably a law that would need to be passed by this same corrupt bunch. Frankly, I wish there were a constitutional amendment, limiting the terms these people can serve in Congress. If term limits were imposed on the office of the president, then Congress should be no exception. Six consecutive terms for House members and two consecutive terms for members of the Senate, totaling twelve years for both groups. If they lose before the completion of their consecutive terms, the clock doesn’t restart if they run and win again; that term gets counted to the time they already served. Enough of these career politicians who get so full of themselves that they ignore their constituents. I know, I know. Wishful thinking!
Now, as far as Scott Brown, if that’s true, that Scott Brown vowed to oppose the repeal of DADT and then supported it, then there should be political cross-hairs on his back and he needs to be targeted for a primary fight.
