Is a Palestinian State Declaration Becoming Real?

Not that long ago, when the discussion by Palestinian Prime Minister Fayyad first discussed unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner stated his intention to recognize such a state. Then, for a stretch, there was silence, that is until this week. Now, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Argentinean President Cristina Kirchner, and Uruguayan Deputy Foreign Minister Roberto Conde have all come forward to support the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state with the 1949 Armistice Lines as a recognized border. Many following these events expect for Bolivia and Ecuador to join the march to the next Middle East War. This has been one of the goals of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction Campaign better known as the BDS Israel Campaign. The eventual aim is the complete dissolution of the country of Israel making her six million Jews stateless and refugees with nowhere to go as thus far nobody has even suggested any intent to offer them refuge. What do these people supporting the replacement of Israel with an Arab ruled Palestinian state expect the Jews of Israel and the world to do, lie down and die like sacrificial lambs? Just a little two-word reminder, NEVER AGAIN!

Let us take this unilateral declaration of a Palestinian State in the West Bank and Gaza to its logical conclusion, and let’s not pretend that everything will go smoothly and everyone will simply play nice, won’t happen. Within minutes, if not days before, Hamas will move to take over the Palestinian Authority and become the new people “ruling” the new Palestinian State. That will actually be the smaller problem. At the same time, I fully expect that despite any guarantees and promises given to the Jews currently living in Judea and Samaria of safe passage and reasonable time to relocate, it will instead become open season for the murder of every Jew within the borders of the declared Palestinian State. This will bring to a premature end the dream of a Palestinian State as the IDF will be called upon to act to save the Jews under attack and will do so with resolute and overwhelming force. This will probably bring responses from Hezballah, Syria, Iran and possibly other Muslim States. The United Nations would go into a frenzied panic crisis mode declaring Israel to be the singular biggest enemy of the world. What countries will join in the effort to protect the Palestinian State from Israel, who was responding to save the Jews being murdered wholesale in the West Bank, is anybodies’ guess. Probably much of western Europe, Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, other South American States that had recognized the Palestinian State and very possibly the United States, depending on who is in the White House. Simply put, unilaterally declaring a Palestinian State without taking steps to institute such in an orderly manner will lead to a disaster from which nothing good can come. The one thing that seems guaranteed is that the declaration and recognition of a Palestinian State will probably be done in a hasty and emotional set of actions, and not by a measured and careful pace. This time haste will bring something far more terrible than waste, it will bring war that could spread very quickly.

Should this movement continue to gather steam, the end will not be healthy for the Middle East. I believe this is the beginning of an ominous move towards conflict. Thank you for reading.

I think you will find the video of a speech made by Pastor John Hagee quite sobering and informative regarding Israel and the threat of Islam to Israel and the USA. Please watch and share with others.

There is already a Palestinian state, it’s called Jordan.
