There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of news regarding this.

Though I am 35 miles north of Anchorage, with even a quake this strong we usually don’t feel it from that far out.

The Aleutians get quakes all the time, but still this is a big one if it is indeed a 7.9.

If this were to hit a population center it would be a city killer.

According to EARTHQUAKE 3D there is a string of earthquakes from the extreme tip of the Aleutian Islands all the way up to the middle of the Yukon.
