Charlie Cook: “Obama has to Pray every Night for Republicans to Nominate Sarah Palin” – Video

Here is video of renowned political prognosticator Charlie Cook reacting to President Obama’s recent arrogant assertion that, “I don’t think about Sarah Palin.” Cook told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that Obama “has to pray every night for Republicans to nominate Sarah Palin,” because she is a “no fly zone” for Independent voters according to him. Obama was dismissive of Palin after being asked if he thought he could beat her in a potential 2012 matchup for President. Cook cited Palin’s poor showing in polls among Independent voters as the reason why Obama has to be hoping for a Palin nomination in 2012.

Obama had better be careful what he wishes for.

yeah there is a core of Dhimmicrat voters who think she is unelectable....and of course the RINO mitten voters too.

I think they are in for a rude awakening.

Charlie Cook is the most overrated “prognosticator” in Washington. I have followed him for many years and found him to be wrong alot more than he is right. He’s part of the Washington elite crowd.

I believe Palin is about the only person Hussein can beat, as things stand right now.

If the country continues to descend into hell, 0bama probably wouldn’t win against Mickey Mouse.

The Democrats want us to nominate Palin as much as we would like to see Biden replaced with Nancy Pelosi.

Putting aside the crap aspect of all this, what exactly is it that makes her “unacceptable” to Independents?

Other would-be R candidates have similar positions on hot-button issues e.g. pro-life, anti-Obamacare, lower taxes, etc. If it’s issue-based, why aren’t the others as hated?

Or is it just *her*?

Fascinating how history just keeps repeating itself...

"White House political strategists have concluded—regretfully—that Ronald Reagan is fading and will have little chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination in 1980. Why the regrets? Because Carter's aides are convinced that the conservative, 68-year-old former California governor is an easy target. (April 2, 1979)"

There sure appears to be an awful lot of discussion on behalf of one of the biggest dimwits, unseasoned, ugliest, and by far least chanced person to gain political office.

My, oh my how insignificance breeds popularity these days.

LOL!

In a fair election he would lose to her presently, IMO.

She may not win, but he would lose.

They’re engaging in reverse psychology. They don’t want her to win, so they hope we don’t nominate her

I would rather she continue her current role. I too think she will not be elected. She does not come across well in interviews or debates, even though many of you think so.

Everyone forgets that the standards for Democrats are virtually nonexistent, but the media will assault Palin for every little mistake. Like the North Korea gaffe. I heard it, she corrected herself, but its like a deposition: once you say it, they will only remember the gaffe.

Sorry Sarah. You will NEVER be able to explain why you quit as Governor of Alaska. They will claim that you can’t take the heat and it doesn’t matter what you say in defense. You are viewed as a quitter.

My mother-in-law is my bellweather independent voter. She can't stand Obama, but doesn't like Palin at all. I asked her what she will do if it's Obama v Palin in 2012 and she said she'd stay home.

Fun to speculate on an Obama-vs.-R race, but I’m not totally convinced that The Kenyan will be running in 2012. I think it would be smart to start considering other D candidates, namely Hillary.

Huck—this is a serious question. Why does she dislike Palin. I’m curious.

As you say, she is like a bellwhether—maybe we can get a peek into what is a major hurdle for a Palin candidacy.

I don’t think she will get the nomination. She might be no more guilty than anybody else, GOP or Dem, of the occasional slip of the tongue but everyone of those slips will be amplified and repeated while the verbal gaffes of others are ignored.

What everyone is denying is the truth that the media has defined Palin and done so successfully.
