… That’s what Jonathan Alter argued during our panel on MSNBC’s ‘Dylan Ratigan Show’ today.
Personally, I think Barbara Bush’s Palin-bashing (assuming saying she hopes Palin stays in Alaska qualifies as “bashing”) has more to do with her moderate political philosophy than it does with any strategy for helping elect her son.
Having said that, I am starting to hear rumors that Jeb is telling potential prominent supporters to “keep their powder dry,” meaning not to endorse or support any 2012 candidates until they check back with him.
There is no doubt that Jeb Bush is highly qualified, and if his name were “Jeb Smith,” he would be the 2012 front-runner today.

I’ll say the same thing about Jeb I say about some of the others. We’ve just come through one heck of a fight trying to stop O from trashing the constitution, and the fight isn’t over. If Jeb had been out front, leading the charge all this time, getting in Obama’s face, calling things by their real name and taking all the slings and arrows that come from taking on a political machine like Obama’s... I would be prepared to back him.
But he didn’t. He has been a bystander all this time. When it really mattered, when we needed everyone with a voice to speak up, he has been pretty darned quiet. So if he only rouses himself into action when there is a dandy job opening to be had, then no thanks, he’s not the guy we’re looking for.
If she thinks Jeb has a chance in 2012, senility may be setting in.
No conservative credibility. Zip. Zero. Nada.

and I used to like Barb, she needs to take her pearls and stay home like good little retired folks should do......I am tired of the Bush family, the Kennedy family and the Clinton duo........
and no I don’t think retired folks should stay home just these guys......
She knows that Sarah will make her husband and son(41 & 43) look like the fools they were if she is elected.
