Right on.
In a free and open market, if there is a demand for a product, someone will figure out how to supply it. Clearly, there are enough gay men who would like this sort of thing, that it is a worthwhile market to address.
Humorous (and other) comments aside, you're on the mark. The gay-decorated coffins are certainly not my cup of tea; I'm all for the pine box or maybe cremation, depending on what takes me out one of these days. I'd like to keep it simple and cheap.
But they have every right to do this, and as freedom-loving, free-market folks, we should support their right to do so. Even if it strikes us as... very different.

Sadly I have to agree with you about simple and cheap. This is only because a burning longship, or Scythian or Beowulf style kugan with horses, weapons and armor would be painfully expensive and probably violate some damn EPA regulation.
Things just aren’t what they used to be.
They have a perfect right to be buried in gay coffins, should that be their desire. And we have a perfect right to poke fun at it.
Why don't we cut through the flowery platitudes?
Can you describe exactly what "gay-decorated" is?
I would suggest that we discuss "homosexual sex" decorated as sex, sexual preferences and proclivities is the ONLY thing that differentiates the norm from the disordered homosexual...
Pull your head out of the sand.
