Juan Williams Was Fox News' "Lawn Jockey" (According to prominent left-wing blog)
Legal Insurrection ^ | 10/21/2010 | William A. Jacobson

Posted on 10/22/2010 8:25:50 AM PDT by Qbert

And the award for the dumbest and most revealing comment from a prominent left-wing blog regarding the firing of Juan Williams goes to "DougJ" at Balloon-Juice:

"Juan Williams’ firing did not happen in a vacuum.  It happened in the context of him having been the official Fox News lawn jockey stooge for years."

Oh, he did a strike-through, so he didn't really mean it and it's not a firing offense, right?

Note:  Based on the comments over there, it appears the strike-through was added only after people complained, so yes, the author did intend to call Juan Williams a "lawn jockey," and yes, as one of my readers commented, the folks who run Balloon-Juice also are the first to call conservatives racist.

See my prior post Saturday Night Card Game (Balloon Juice) quoting John Cole, lead blogger at Balloon-Juice (emphasis mine):

"The funny thing about all of this is that no matter how bad all their ideas are, no matter how disastrous their governance has been, no matter how many horrible things they have done to the economy and this country, what really is killing the Republican party is that deep down, they are just complete assholes. You see it in the way they treat women, you see it in the way they treat minorities, you see it in the way they treat homosexuals, you see it in the way they treat anyone who is not a white Christian, and you see it in the way they treat anyone who disagrees with them slightly about anything. They just have no respect for anyone, and it shows."

Wow I cant believe how fast the Dem’s are distancing themselves from...themselves. What’s the old saying “divide and conquer”? They seem to be dividing themselves.

Now WE need to stick TOGETHER more than ever!

I realize the phrase “lawn jockey” is meant to be a racial pejorative. I don’t think Juan is racist, nor does he deserve to be subjected to such racists attacks, but from what I can tell his IQ is roughly equivalent to that of an inanimate landscape statue. He has matured a bit during his long stint with FNC, and my hope is that this week’s events will help shock him into a saner reality. I miss the days when Britt Hume looked like he just wanted to slap him silly for being so stupid.

Many conservatives are liberals who have been mugged. A knock on the head can actualy clarify things. Watch as Juan starts to question the assumptions of the groupthink of the LEFT.

Let's all be sure to remember to welcome Juan into the Conservative movement. After this butt scorching, I suspect he'll be making Hannity look like a Leftie in the future! Carry water for the Left and get “lynched” for your efforts. Hopefully, other African Americans will begin to understand the concept of faithful Useful Idiot. Juan is NOT an idiot but exploitation is what it is. We need to welcome him and all others with open arms. America is for patriots and he is now firmly in our camp.

I’ve seen Brit slap him up quite quickly, then Juan acts like a dog caught in the garbage.

Easy solution: If he is annoying and unwatchable and fox news is “stupid” why in the world are you wasting your time watching either one? Turn the channel...

Correct me if I am wrong, but when someone on the right uses the term lawn jockey doesn’t the left go apoplectic and call for their immediate lynching?

The libs are all over the board about this...they rant and rail about the FOX News being one-sided, yet when they get a leftie for counterpoint (for that fair and balanced thing) the left calls him a "lawn jockey".

As a matter of fact, that policy is threaded through the democrat party - anyone who is black and wants to try and reach out is called an "uncle tom". If a black wants to improve his speaking skills or make all A's in school, s/he get accused of "acting white".

All this leads me to believe that the unfairness to blacks, comes from the blacks...and the left. In pure UNION style, they are not allowed to strive to better themselves or to try an better race relations.

Those like NAACP, NBBP, etc are the true racist organizations in this country...THEY are the ones holding blacks back from success. They do it by one of the prime Alinsky "Rules for Radicals"...it's called "Ridicule".

But the truth is, their whole ruse is falling apart; political correctness is going the way of New Coke and the ugly head of racism is what they see in the mirror.

—Exactly. What we have here is bunch of rich white (establishment) liberals who want to retain permanent power by cutting off all potential paths to self-betterment for non-whites. They stir up the pot, feed non-whites with daily, highly-charged images of “racism and hatred” from “the right” to make non-whites feel that it’s completely futile to try to rely upon anyone except for the “benevolent” white liberals. But the rich white, narcissistic liberals will never have to suffer the pains of what they create, nor will they ever sacrifice their personal fortunes and positions of power...

For the life of me, I don’t know why the right doesn’t demand some real sacrifice from the white Libs, and why they continue to fall for this “benevolent, but misguided liberal” claptrap. Once they finally do this, the facade will rapidly crumble.

This is pure evil how lives are destroyed...

So by their way of thinking, Zero is America’s “lawn jockey”. Interesting.

In the past, Juan has formed his opinions based on his liberal mindset, probably not thinking things all the way through. Let's hope this incident will serve to make him start questioning some of his old ideas, in light of what he's gone through, at the hands of his supposed liberal comrades.

“”Juan Williams’ firing did not happen in a vacuum. It happened in the context of him having been the official Fox News lawn jockey stooge for years.”

It is so gratifying to see the true nature of these people come out.
The left is militantly intolerant; and many of them are racists deep down.

People of color need to see that conservatism is their best hope for real progress and freedom.
We judge as MLK asked us to; the content of the character is much more important than skin color.
This is the opposite of the left. They want to group us all by skin color, or what unnatural places we place our reproductive parts.

Brit is awesome; I wish he was still anchoring FNC’s hard news hour. Brett’s okay, but he stepped into some big shoes. Brit used to look like he was going to devour Juan alive, but he never crossed the line. If it had been me, I couldn’t of helped but spout, “Juan, you ignorant slut!”

I miss Brit Hume. I think he was one of the best, if not THE best, talking head on TV. Brett is an OK sucessor, but Brit was in a class by himself.

Juan Williams was beginning to question the groupthink orthodoxy and for that he needed to be broken on the wheel.

The lefties look more like the Inquisition every day.
