Usually media people say they’re an Independent. I’m surprised he admitted to being a democrat, but they all are when they vote.

Most journalists register Independent to pretend to be objective.
True... but maybe he thought it was okay now that his party controls all parts of government. Now, next year, he just may change that statement. I doubt that he even understands the tsunami that is coming...so he might want to change his party later...heh.

My guess is Woodward is a moderate Republican. It is very common for Republicans to register Democrat in a heavily Democrat area. Democrats often do the same in heavyily Republican areas.

I don't know if Bob has ever publicly declared party loyalties before this, but the caller got him on the record. It's worth knowing and adds ammunition to accusations of media bias.
