Democrat Congressman Russ Carnahan was speaking at a rally about our Social Security system. After bashing President Bush for half a minute, Carnahan decided to say "the social security system has been stable for 75 years. It has one of the most efficient ratings in terms of any agency." The crowd erupted in laughter.

This is funny, but it is the truth. This is why Pelosi and Reid and even Obama completely dismissed the initial Tea Party gatherings; it is why the Dems told the MSM to attack, attack, attack - they figured that everyone would roll over, go back to watching TV and just get back in line!

What is really scary is that if the "Summer of Recovery" had actually happened, I am afraid that their old tricks might have worked and the upstart Tea Party might have been the US equivalence of Tienanmen Square! But, thank GOD - there just wasn't enough crap to throw at the Tea Parties, there wasn't enough "stash" money to pay off people and people (like Brietbart) are starting to stand up to the liberal idiots, demanding that they actually KNOW what they are protesting!

Although the sympathy election of “The Widder Carnahan” peeved me,
it did joy me when Ashcroft was available to become the Attorney General
