Rick Lazio Blows Off the Tea Party
Facebook ^ | 8/18/10 | NY Tea PArty

Posted on 08/18/2010 6:03:55 AM PDT by Mr. K

We want to give all of you that attended the Lazio debacle last night a huge THANK YOU!

We turned lemons into lemonade.

Many people who came to see and support Lazio were disgusted at his "no-show" and indicated they are fed up. They asked for Tea Party literature.

So, what could be seen as a loss for us was actually a gain. We will grow our ranks.

Mr. Lazio requested what we call a job interview with THE PEOPLE of O/S 912 and the community. He failed his job interview. Rule #1, you don't skip out on a job interview if you really want the job.

We want to tell all our O/S 912 members that attended last night how proud we are of you and how much we appreciate your patriot friendship.

O/S 912 handled a tough situation with dignity and resolve. We thank you for joining with us in a "quick on our feet" decision to press forward! We had a GREAT meeting!

Even though, we realize an endorsement may mean nothing at this point it is significant for us. We have said we would NOT "endorse" as a O/S 912 group but encourage our members to choose a candidate and get active.

However, a large group of core O/S 912 members met privately minutes before announcing Rick Lazio had "dissed" the Tea Party and unanimously agreed to announce the endorsement of Carl Paladino for Governor.

Carl has repeatedly attended our vetting sessions and answered the hard questions. He has laid out his bold plan IN DETAIL.

He has attended our rallies and connected with the folks. He is serious in his intention to work for THE PEOPLE.

Sometimes I think the Republican Establishment hates the Tea Party more than the Democrats do.

Just as in 2000, vs. Hillary, I am not convinced Lazio is all that motivated to fight to win. He seems to simply glide along without really stepping up. This mosque issue is about the only time he’s at least appeared to have any life at all. I think running for office is just a side hobby for Lazio.

Of course they do....we are combining our brain powers and forcing them to look at their past contributions to the destruction of America...it’s no longer the Good Old Perps of the past....they can’t dictate to us who they want us to choose as a candidate and they don’t like it....as much as the Dems don’t like it either. A thinking middle class is a dangerous and powerful thing.

Ya hit the nail on the head with that remark! The TEA party is holding the Repubs’ feet to the fire - they have to choose who they align with and then we will know them by their choice.

YES!! CARL PALADINO IS OPPOSING LAZIO IN THE PRIMARY

LAZIO IS THE HAND-PICKED GOP CANDIDATE- HE IS ALSO THE LOSER WHO LOST TO HILLIARY IN 2006. THE NY STATE GOP IS OUT OF TOUCH

I CONTACTED NY GOP HEADQUARTERS ABOUT THIS AND THEY TOLD ME TO "GO VOTE DEMOCRAT THEN"

PALADINO WAS ON FOX YESTERDAY AND HE WAS GREAT!

IF YOU CAN, PLEASE DONATE TO HIS CAMPAIGN OR WE WILL END UP WITH LAZIO OR CUOMO.

Lazio gave the election to Hillary. I was so upset at the Republican party that I stopped contributing and let them know why. The democratic machine controls this state, so whoever wins the primary really has no chance in the fall anyway. However, this is a chance to get a message across loud and clear, if these idiots will listen.

Lazio lost to HRC in 2000, not 2006.
John Spencer lost to HRC in 2006.

Personally, I want Lazio to win. I want the statewide races to be complete duds so the Dems stay home and allow us to pick up maximum seats at the state level and the HofR.

Guys, NYS voters have become so f-in’ stupid Teddy Roosevelt couldn’t win here. We will NOT win any statewide races, the best thing that could happen is to have boring non-event top of the ticket races so Dems stay home.
