This is one of the most disturbing cop videos I've ever seen. Basically a guy was shooting his 22 rifle at a target on secluded acreage in a rural part of San Luis Obispo County, California. The cops got one of those "shots fired" calls surrounded the place with guns drawn and a half dozen officers. The guy wouldn't consent to a search of his home when they got there, so the cops basically invented "probable cause" to enter on the spot, ripped his keys off his belt, and went inside anyway. Midway through the search it came back over the radio that the guy was clean and all his guns were properly registered, but they broke into his gun safe anyway and seized them all. The cops then spent several minutes afterward conspiring to get their stories straight, invent something to charge the guy for, and figuring a way to "flower" up their report to justify the warrantless search after the fact.
Unfortunately for the cops, the whole thing was caught on a live microphone.
Three part video:

Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PI4rkECqWg&feature=related
Part 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfFbX1CE4zA&feature=related
Looks like this victim is about to become quite wealthy at the taxpayers’ expense.
Most cops hate private gun ownership, and will not hesitate to be the front line in gun confiscation if given the opportunity.
This video is particularly telling on that end. One of the officers can be heard drooling over a gun in the safe that he wanted for himself. Sure enough he got it after inventing a reason to confiscate it, and it has yet to be returned to the owner.
Or, the cops will figure out a way to silence him - PERMANENTLY.
The sad part is none of these guys will ever face criminal charges for this, despite committing multiple criminal acts. Nor will they be personally liable for what they did - the taxpayers will.
Just another isolated, rare and random instance of the 99% giving the 1% a bad name.
I keep wondering where the boot-lickers, reading these stories day after day, find the ability to continue to support our gang-bangers in blue.
You are right. I’ve disagreed with you vehemently on stories similar to this in the past but when you are right, you are right.
“I keep wondering where the boot-lickers, reading these stories day after day, find the ability to continue to support our gang-bangers in blue.”
Intelligent people do not blame the entire institution for the actions of bad people that are a part of that institution.
how many dont get caught
The tape is apparently the cops’ own. They didn’t realize that all of their recorded conspiring could be subject to a freedom of information request.
(I will add that intelligent people can condemn individuals without condemning other individuals who have the same job).
My guess is that the audio and video is from the cop’s dashcams and was obtained via FOIA
Hoss
“The cops then spent several minutes afterward conspiring to get their stories straight....” This is a basic part of cop training 101. It comes under the section on lying under oath. ...Yes, there are honest cops, but they know more than anyone how bad it can be.
Last time I saw someone make that comment, I posted the “Captain Hyperbole” image . . . it really stung some people.
Civil rights violations on multiple levels. Those cops need to spend the rest of their lives in jail for this.
This is why there is offsite recorded audio and video coverage on my property that cannot be turned off by LE or anyone else. They pull that crap here and they’ll be famous.
Does anyone know if the NRA is going to help this guy with legal expenses?
Disgusting. I’d like to hear the bootlickers defend this one.
(I will add that intelligent people can condemn individuals without condemning other individuals who have the same job).
For the cop-haters, it’s “intelligence” on par with the socialists screeching that “conservatives are racist” when they are losing an argument.
Generalizations are the refuge of the lost, angry and ignorant.
Too long and wordy. They need to make the videos shorter.
