Ciudad-Juarez to Seattle is 1,373 miles according to my Street Atlas software.

1200 miles Seattle to San Diego. 120 miles Seattle to Vancouver. I think it's those pesky Canucks we need to worry about, if you ask me.

So she was off by about 20%. Southern Oregon is about that far from the border. PDX is about 1100 miles, which is smack-dab in the middle of the "Pacific Northwest".

But...I haven't heard of this claim either, so I'm curious to see some corroboration as well.
